PTSD is a subject close to my heart. As others have stated its randomness makes it very hard to treat. Every therapist has their own angle on what, they feel can help. The NHS tend to value CBT, which has mixed results. Others promote EMDR and other distraction methods, Havening, NLP. All have their own merits but paper over cracks in many cases. Jason Fox's Battle Scars is the best book I have read on the condition, and a real insight into its complexity. He has my sympathy, lets hope he can cope and adjust.
