While individual ADs may be applying the prices earlier, it is really a 1st Jan increase.

Do you think there is a case for asking ADs to honour old prices today? Or are they allowed to implement the price increase before 1st Jan?

You can always ask but there’s no basis for them giving it. If the RRP/list prices are supposed to be going up tomorrow, I suspect Rolex would take a dim view of an AD putting prices up early.

In the past, ADs have been allowed some small discretion about when they re-ticket their stock with new prices. In these days of instant information dissemination it seems anachronistic, but practically it can take a little while to redo displays, stock tickets etc with the care needed to avoid silly mistakes.

No harm in asking for the pre-increase price now, or indeed in early January. What has one to lose?

They may take a dim view but Goldsmiths Chelmsford are already showing the new prices. 40mm rose gold Yachtmaster in the window at £21900!

I suppose if you’re there to buy it and the website shows the lower amount, you could plead your case.

i should imagine it’ll still be there this time next year. You might think they’d be listing at “old” price and pushing the “buy before price rise” line.

Didn't the price change actually kick in on 30th Dec?

Prices here in South Africa up 13% today. The Rand has been very weak the last 18 months so no surprise there has been a steep increase.

I believe they only went up about £200. Which is not bad compared to others. (I may be wrong!)

Was never a true Rootbeer, with many people just wishing to use that term too quickly on this piece.

The all gold version is a beautiful looking watch but the two tone is a complete miss, the brown/Black does not work with the steel and gold mix.

Looks like AP have had a price increase as well.

Didn't AP have a price increase just a couple of month back?

UK still cheapest place on earth for Rolex? A white gold sub is 33800£ in Sweden now. Up almost 4000£ in one day. Good bit of business that :D

Glad the increase on the explorer 1 is more muted - that's what I'm after next!
