I had an 857, so similar. Fantastic watches for the money. The only thing that I didn't like was the thin lugs. Assuming you don't mind that, I couldn't find fault.
I'm giving some serious thought to buying a Sinn 856 UTC on a bracelet. It ticks the boxes for me on size, legibility, GMT function, look and durability.
Can anyone comment as to why I should not buy one and if so suggest an alternative proposition for a similar price.
Many Thanks
Russell

Thanks for the reply, to be honest I had not really noticed the thin lugs, but now having another look I actually don’t mind them.

The only downside in my view is the tegimented steel means it's less versatile so not as well suited to formal wear but the legibility of the non UTC version is great.
Not sure the tech is really necessary but all in all it's a decent quality product and you don't see many which is a positive in my book.

I was seriously considering this recently as well, in my search for a robust holiday watch that is nice enough that I wouldn't mind leaving the 16710 at home. Found it quite hard finding a GMT with a decent WR rating.
The tegimented steel Dave mentioned put me off as I want something that'll work in any situation, and feel it makes it possibly too "tooly" to wear to a decent restaurant etc. The one I'm wondering about now is their 104, though this doesn't have the GMT, but it looks really smart yet tough. Just got to decide black or white now...
I shall follow the thread with interest, as I also considering getting a Sinn UTC.
Though in my case the 857.
I had an 857UTC and kind of regret selling it to be honest. I bought it new from Neil at Chronomaster (top bloke) and after about a year flipped it as i wanted something else. I also regretted it as i sold it on WUS to someone in Canada and it hit me hard in the pocket as i naively said i'd include postage (schoolboy error).
It's a good watch and virtually indestructible given the tegimented case, and wear smaller than 43mm due to short lugs.
P.s. sorry guys i'm new(ish) to TZUK as i've been a long time WUS user. Can't you post photos around here direct from the PC without an image hosting website?
Cheers,
Will

I wear mine with pleasure. It’s a piece of beauty. Just so comfortable.
I had these three, and kept only the 356 UTC.
The 856 is a well-made watch that's definitely better than most of the other generic-movement options at its price level, but I found it a bit charmless, and have yet to regret selling it.
One other watch I was thinking about was the Glycine Airman, which does have the GMT and the 100m WR.
Hopefully the photo appears.
