    Internet radios

    Hi all,

I am thinking of upgrading the digital radio to an internet radio - what models do you recommend?

As a bonus, it would be good if it had the controls on the top of the unit (like my current Pure Pop).

    Thank you!

Ruark R2 is exceptional and the sound quality is also.

Just bought one of these myself - Roberts iStream 3 - https://www.robertsradio.com/uk/bund...SAAEgKpC_D_BwE

Good bit of kit. I wanted one that could run on rechargeable batteries as well as mains.

Ruark is very good but since getting Sonos I don't tend to use it anymore. Would be worth looking at Sonos.

I'm using from more than 1 year an Auna: https://www.amazon.co.uk/auna-Kitche...07B9YWXZG?th=1
It is a good quality radio and the sound is crystal clear.

Why not just get a Sonos Play 1?

Price? The fact you're locked into their 'ecosystem'?

Those were the factors that swayed me away from Sonos.

I bought a Roberts R1 to stream music to my bedroom from a NAS - It works well, sound is good enough for my requirements and it only cost £50.

To the OP, it will play Internet Radio stations through an App, but they do another model that is a dedicated Radio, with (I think) tuning controls on the unit.

Is it as good as a Sonos? I hope not for the difference in price, but it's decent enough.

I'm thinking of getting a second one as they can be linked as left and right stereo speakers.
