Nice looking Speedmaster. It begs the question: after 50 years, which of you is in better condition?!

Well, sort of. Originally sold in The Netherlands, to the day. No other point to this post, than that!
I know birth year watches polarise opinion, but I like it that it was sold a week or so before I was born.

Happy birthday
Nice watch
Am not against birth year watches if the watch you want is available
Just not in favor of choosing a watch model based on birth year availability
Looks like a great watch to me, I have always been interested in owning a birth year watch, but they are very difficult to get hold of with all the correct paperwork like yours.
Have a great birthday!
Congratulations for 50 years walking!. Thanks for sharing

You're seriously only (just about to be) 50? Wow!
"A man of little significance"
Congrats on soon to be 50 - every birthday is a blessing. And the watch is lovely.
My birthday today too coincidentally, very cool watch!

Thanks Raj. It was originally bought because of the year, I just struck lucky with it being what it is.
Ta!
Only? ONLY?
Thank you!
I'll know who to come to if I want to sell it
Just a few days of late forties left!
Hey Ed hope You're keeping well many happy returns for the Big Five O may You have many more.
All the best Ed on your 50th! Maybe when I'm down your way a curry and beer might be in order!
Great watch, love the Mk2(wearing mine as I type, non racing though).
Have a great 50th yourself.
I love this. I'd like to get a birth year watch myself at some point... I'm keeping an eye out on Sales Corner for the right vintage!
Many happy returns, @ed335d!
I recently picked up a Mark II as a birth year watch.
It is within the ball park of a '72, so not far behind you :)
Well wear!
