Not sure that works on a 6 series, I allways expect a bit of BS from a driver of one of those, despite it being quite a nice car but a bit unnecessary. ..

ironic because Unisurge has HUGE NHS contracts and is basically a cash cow.

A private plate should have no more than two letters and two numbers

    Eh?? Why?

Saw a Range Rover today with three letters followed by the number 1. Perfectly fine plate if you ask me.

I knew about the family business, I think it is fairly close to his garage.
In fairness I don't think it was ever going to be much more than an expensive hobby.

    That car looks fairly tasty!

I think the OP might have just got the numbers the wrong way round.

And yes, I did have to Google how to take a screenshot...

Saw 71P the other day, suppose you could read it as ZIP or TIP maybe?

As i understand it, the really short ones like that are the really valuable ones, so assume it's worth many times more than the 2004 Toyota Yaris it was on

I know a motorcyclist, who lost the lower half of one leg when he fell from an Electricity pylon.

He goes by the moniker "Stumpy", and his bike plate is:

    C1 LEG

We're back into shit plate territory here. This is G690 RAL.
This is rather like the "sleepers" thread on PH where a significant % of folk have no idea what a sleeper/q car is.

I think we all know how the plate is supposed to be laid out and good or shit is a matter of personal opinion.

For me a good plate makes me smile and this one certainly made me smile!

Spotted SAP 1 on a Volvo XC90 in the car park at work earlier this week.
Had a quick chat with the owner. It wasn't his initials; the plate had been in his family for decades.
He obviously wasn't short of a bob or two and wasn't interesting in selling.

Funnily enough, he's in IT, but doesn't work for SAP:

Oh, go on, buy a Prius and fit it

There's a pretty ordinary 4WD thing around the corner with the reg MS 3

The plate must be worth many times the car to someone!
