Slap it on a green nato and it will look the mutts nuts
Hi folks, I bought myself a green dialled Omega, the Speedmaster Golf this week (ebay is lethal for me..) and it arrived with the 90's hair puller bracelet and a brown croc strap with deployment. The brown croc is ok but a little bit "sensible"
I'm wondering what colour and kind of strap would suit it better. I have seen this Hirsch "runner" in black but not much else
I've done a bit of research and watches with green dials are not all that common. The watch would originally have come with a green leather strap as an alternative to the bracelet but buying a decent green croc strap would be a leap of faith up there with buying one made with snake skin as it sure isn't going to suit anything else.
Anyone else got a green dial combo?
Roy

I hadn't considered a NATO.. can you put semi dressy watches on them?Originally Posted by WORKSIMON
Nice catch!!! Yes, green dial is quite rare indeed Have not seen an Omega with Green face before...wonder how many they have made w/ Green face???
I have a Bremont ALT1-C Green face and the green face has really grown on me over time (only if it has GMT function:(
Anyway, I think a mustard color will look great on it, same as a very dark brown. I will take photo of my green face Bremont with mustard strap and post here soon..... Cheers!
imo a green strap on a green watch = too much green!
i would try a black or grey nato/zulu(when i say zulu i mean a zulu
that is slightly thicker than a nato  ),just my 2c!
cheers

A nice tan/tobacco strap with olive stitching could be good.
I'd never seen on either and when I checked the reference on the card and discovered it was a real model rather than a made up one with a green dial (like some 80's seamasters on ebay) I bought it right away. The ref is 3811.70.26Originally Posted by aTqZ1997
As for numbers I am not sure, I think there were 1000 so I wonder how many were actually sold. EDIT - Just looked on the web and apparently there are 300 Personally I love it. I have put it back on the bracelet for the time being and it looks superb. All it needs is the numbers on the bezel repainting, a quick polish and it is as good as new.
YES :D I used to wear my speedy reduced on one and it really goes well.Originally Posted by unwittingaccomplice

"Gas Gas Bones" do some nice webbing straps for the Speedy.
I think the 1202 would look real nice on that.

Quite possibly but I would like to see that on a bright red leather strap just so see what it would look like. I bet it would good great.Originally Posted by churchy
I think if a green strap was used then it would be a bit of green overkill...
I think 1 out of 6 men can't see green or red anyway (color blind) so no problem right :D

Try an olive green camo NATO band, the green will pop.
