"I looked with pity not untinged with scorn upon these trivial-minded passers-by"

I think we need a xxx section - posting pics like that makes my keyboard wet! And my wallet run & hide ..
/vince ..
Very fine stuff indeed.
Makes me even more ashamed not having posted one home-made pic myself
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Oh I found plenty of pics in your adultfriendfinder profile, they're not that bad mate  :lol:Originally Posted by Daddelvirks

wow! Thanks for the link
Best watch photo's ever, love the "frozen" gmt on page 3!
Well, thanks for the chosen topic! It's high time to say "Hi!" and to introduce myself. :wave:Originally Posted by mr1973

Unfortunately, when the Rolex bug bites it bites hard. But first things first. I started my collection with this beauty:
Eterna KonTiki Chronograph (1591.41.40)
(This picture was taken before it's first service.)
fantastic photos !
Welcome Roland.
What can I say other than that's some truly great pics :)
very great
Stunning pictures.
Great, not only do I want a new watch or two but now I've convinced myself I need a macro lens for the camera. This site is clearly going to cost me a fortune...
Really great pics.
Wonder how some people come up with such original idea's in photographing a watch in so
many different ways.
For presenting my own collection, stealing sometimes some idea's.
Thx for the pics
Feike
Wonderful images - they're an inspiration!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for that.
Dave
Excellent photo's,just wish I could achieve the same!Ah well will keep trying
Welcome to the forum and great photo's :)
Fantastic pics. It seems more and more that watch collecting/photography are merging into one and the same hobby!!
Thanks for the compliments! :)
After long time lurking in Rolex forums I bought a GMT-C. For me it's the most beautiful modern watch.
In March I attended Munich watch fair and had no clue what I was doing. There are so many (partial) fakes around.
But with the help of some german "silverbacks" I managed to get a Submariner 5512.
The vintage bug has bitten me pretty bad ...
Hi. Anybody here?
The next one was a Sea-Dweller from 1998 with slightly-creamy patina.
I don't want to talk about this one ... seriously.
I lost it.
Wow stunning
Now how did that happen    :shock:Originally Posted by hypophyse
Btw, the Munich watch fair is quite a slippery slope. Too many of those Italian thugs over there with their Frankenwatches. But it's always nice to have a short chitchat with James Dowling ;-)

Hi and welcome Roland,
some really inspirational pics there and nice collection, although I'm no Rolex man myself - the pics were brilliant
What equipment do you use and settings ???
Cheers Peter
Lovely photography, really - thanks for posting.
But your GMTII-c pics illustrate my problem with that watch - I don't think I can deal with flat crystals and no anti-reflective...
Now that is a watch. There is an old military sub going on Ebay at the moment and it looks awesome. I just wish I had the cash to buy it, I reckon could well go near the 20k mark or more
some talent in here
I'm using an old cam in automatic macro mode and Photoshop. One of the best ways to shoot a great photo is simply by shooting many of them.Originally Posted by ingenioren

Stunning....especially in black & white.
“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
Brilliant photos indeed!
Bit concerned about this one though, hope you didn't get frostbite!
Err, I forgot to show you my last watch.
Datejust 1603.
There's more to come. I hate Munich. 8) :D
