    Something for Eddie - thankyou!

Well, I've been here something like six months now and thoroughly enjoy this most civilised corner of the web. I am, as I suspect are many, very grateful to our gracious host and benefactor. I've made some friends, bought and sold far too many watches, and emptied my watch account more than once.

I also seem to recall reading somewhere on here that Mr Platts has aquired the rights to the "Smiths" name.

So while I was on one of my little wanders today I spotted this. It works and would make a great desk piece for the owner of the Smiths brand.

So if you would like it Eddie, let me know and it's yours. Gratias and with thanks.

    It's a pocket watch.... but not just any pocket watch...a Smiths....and it's......

    ...frickin' 'normous! :D

So clever my foot fell off.

Not many watches use a basketball hoop for an hour hand

Nice clean design, any idea how old it is? I'd guess 50s/60s?

    .
A very interesting handset that can go well in a wristwatch. If I am not mistaken Omega had a wristwatch with a circle in the hour hand ... but the Smiths circle is slightly different.
