Great picture Colin. The dial of the earlier CWC diver's is slightly different from latter ones and your photo shows it off nicely. BTW what is the issue number of this watch, '83 - '86 era?
Different topic - Bangladesh Air Force - I have visited BAF a few times and still do some business with them. Govt. & BAF bureaucracy is about as bad as you can get, but I guess we Brits have to answer for that in some way.

Thanks I am still to find a 0555 (RM) and something RAF ( will need to have a think about this as I dont think CWC G10's were issued to RAF in any numbers, I will probably get a seiko at some point.Originally Posted by kiki-picasso

Sadly not issued... Same watch, different NATOs
I had a few and still have a few left
I love mine, can never part with it now :)
I've justy got a new one from Silverxxxs.
The bezel action is really really stiff, is it just mine or your guys face the same?
Mines pretty stiff to turn. The beveled serations on the bezel dont help
with grip either :-)
I had an RN Navigator (fat case) whilst serving; sadly, the movement has bcome erratic now - it runs but doesn't keep time anymore. It does have a lot of history and I'd really like to get it fixed. Anyone know where I can get a new quartz movement for it?
I was always a little envious of those aircrew and Operations Officers who had the issued mechanical CWC chronos, though as a Navigator I needed the accuracy of quartz.
I now have this quartz chrono - a la recherche du temps perdu - I'd love to have it issued to me 25 years ago...
A very practical, wearable size:
Some more additions to the collection.
CWC Quartz Chronograph
CWC Mechanical Chronograph
Broadarrow PRS-5 This sneaked in as i think you'll agree it looks nicely at home
Also a 6BB Mechanical
You don't see many of these!
CWC Non-Lume Chrono from 1975. I only know of one other - which for some strange reason does not have the arrow on the dial or caseback. Mine came straight from a MOD auction and then went in a drawer for 30+ years! The hands are brass and painted white. Possibly a prototype which the mOD ditched and decided to stay with Lemania? When I got it the watch was not working when the hands were fitted and my watchmaker had some job to get it going. It is currently back with him to have the pushers freed as they are very stiff to operate. Any one got any thoughts on this one or seen another? AndyL
wasn't none lume something to do with nuclear subs?
I have a few early CWC quartz g10's my fave being a no circle logo, this 1983 CWC diver does a great job of keeping by chrono avenger off my wrist.
It's slightly slimmer than the modern CWC RN divers, the writing on the back is quite small and faint too. I was a little concerned with the markings when I first purchased it but I have seen a couple more early ones with the small writing.
The hour hand was put on back to front and I'm going to have it pur right soon, I just can't bare to be with out it
These are old pictures I'll get some better ones up soon.
Oh and yes the bezel is very stiff LOL
Hello Baden,
What is your 1983 CWC diver issue number please? I've got two '83's, one good one and one in need of repair. I reckon they only issued about 400 '83 quartz diver's according to the issue numbers I've seen. Did you notice the '83 has a slightly different dial design? Thicker numbers and slightly smaller markers.
Rgds,
Terry
Hi Terry the issue number is 288/83 so still under the magic 400 number :DOriginally Posted by Terry
Also not issued, but I like it anyway. My thrird CWC chrono - I have lost count of how many CWCs I have had altogether:
I am very impressed with the original versions of this some of you have.
My quartz CWC diver dropped off a bedside cabinet on to the floor and stopped!
I telephoned Silvermans, who suggested they send it to Switzerland for repair! This seems rather far and researches have revealed that quartz movements for CWC watches can be purchased from trade counters in UK. Can any forum members please advise.
Best regards,
Ridley
This 1975 version is strange as it does not have the circle T and lume in the markers.
Also, it does not have the 6B code like other issue years.
I have a 1977 and 78 versions while both with the circle T.
I think this is a great sample as it does not have the lume and without circle T.
For the pushers issue, I think a general clean up and re-assembly of the movement or perform a movement overhaul by most watch maker can fix this problem (there also need to clean up the case and pusher too) while the movement installation will affect the pusher operation.
Great sample and thanks for your sharing.

Does anyone know what year CWC transitioned from acrylic bezel inserts to metal inserts?
Don't know the exact year Colin, but from the pics I've seen sometime between 1988 and 1993.

Heres a couple more CWC Issued Divers amongst some 'Pals'.
All bought over the holiday period :P
