Another thanks from me 8)
it has taken me 2 months to get into a window and enjoying the forum already
Wow - pretty happy to be among the last ones to enter the circle :D
Thanks for allowing me to register, glad to join the board!
Another thank you! Here beings the slippery slope towards a collection...
Me too - I think this place is going to be a bad place for me to spend time.
Still undecided on my first "proper" watch so thanks for letting me share the knowledge.
Another thanks from me too :D
Been checking almost every day to see if I could register and today was my lucky day.
Also thanks, another site to avoid whilst the missus is shoulder surfing !
I guess I'll be adding a few more to my 'must purchase' list.
Hi Eddie,
Thanks for allowing me to register to TZ-UK.
I'm enjoying reading the forums.
Regards,
Geert (from the Netherlands)
Aloha Eddie!
Mahalo for letting me past the "guard gate" & allowing me to join this fantastic forum. I have been a long time fan of the Precista brand and this forum. Matter of fact I had contacted you years ago about when or if I might ever be able to buy a new PRS93 18/A from you. This was back when ETA had raised prices to the point you werent sure if there would ever be any more PRS93'S Auto's.
I kept looking at your sales site, and browsing the TZ-UK forum in case another watch came along that I might have been interested in, and my patience provided me with a brand spanking new PRS93 Auto just before you left for your 2009 summer holiday! What are the chances?
Patience is not my strong suit - but living in Hawaii (yea, poor me) and the reality of collecting desireable watches has either helped, or made me completely mad - not quite sure which?
I am planning a Euro vacation in the near future with my landing destination being Amsterdam. However, I/we plan to tour as much of the great land as I can see in a few weeks to a month. Cant wait to check out the watch shops and the like!
Please let me know if there are any "dont miss" shops that I must put on my schedule over in that part of the world. If Amsterdam doesnt consume me entirely that is :drunken:
I cant tell you how happy I am with my first Precista purchase. The watch & service is nothing short of fantastic, but I know I am preaching to the choir on that one, especially here on TZ-UK.
If you ever find yourself headed to Hawaii for vacation I would be happy to give you the 'local' tour of the island of Oahu - so look me up if you ever get to 'the little rock'.
MAHALO EDDIE!
just joined and can appreciate anything to keep world/ebay scumbags at bay has got to be for the better.the 50 posts rule got to be good aswell encourages a bit of partitipation, all in all great site

Thanks to Eddie for letting me join up, too. Long time lurker, but there was something on the sales corner I had to bag!
Been interested in watches since I conned my brother into lending me his watch to wear for the school concert in 1979. My dad said I spent my whole time on stage looking at it. :S
30 years later and I still spend an inordinate amount of time looking at my wrist!
Cheers!

Hello everyone, just got an open registration window, thanks. Two months ago I hadn't owned a watch for maybe 10 years, decided to buy one on a whim, now I have three and keep looking at others lol.
Just a quick hello, i have been reading various items in watch talk for a while but like with a few other forums i read, dont post too much. I finally decided to join and then couldnt but finally got in now so thanks.
Andrew
Thanks for the 'in', Eddie :hello2:
Just a quick post to say "Hello" :hello2:
I'm a newbie to the world of watches of the more collectable variety, other than using a watch to just tell the time.
I'm after a special piece for my 30th birthday. I'm currently interested in purchasing an Omega Planet Ocean, the 45.5mm version, I'm just mulling over the combination that I want. I know that I'll buy it with a bracelet and buy a spare leather strap for more formal wear, I like the look of the Toshi straps so I'll probably get one of those.
Any advice for a newbie when purchasing a new watch will be much appreciated.
Hello Taz and welcome to the forum. :)
Start a new thread on Watch Talk; there'll be plenty of advice there
Cheers

Thank you, I will do.Originally Posted by SternG

Just found this forum when I googled for 'Stephen Fry's Watch' on Sunday to see what it was he was wearing in 'Last Chance To See'.
Anyhow tried to join up on Sunday night but was unable to, tried again Monday morning and happy to say I was able to. . . . obviously!! :)
Looks a really interesting forum and look forward to participating and learning.
Cheers,

Howdie peeps. Been hanging around for a while now and decided to say hello.
And yet another new boy...........
Have a smallish collection Rolex Sub (thanks MarcJ) and a few IWC's (one a trade from Sanjay) although I have a persistent Panerai itch that must be scratched.
Ah, finally I'm in as well. Greetings from Canada, eh! Thanks, Eddie!
Another hello from a newly accepted member :)
Long time lurker & hoping to learn & contribute from now.
Rgds.
Quick hello from another newbie, just made my first post on another thread.....didn't realise the protocol of introducing yourself on here first
Hope to be spending a bit more time posting and getting into the fray, everyone seems friendly enough
Thanks to Eddie for confirming the membership
There isn't one, as far as I can tell. Just dive right in. (But not to the sales side of things.)Originally Posted by Knottster

Hi all, another newbie :) :)
I've been browsing for a few weeks while my Lemania single pusher is away being looked at (not sure if they know what they're doing so may have more threads about this in the future) and currently waiting for a DA36 to appear in the post.
Cheers, dodgyknee
DA36 - lovely watch! I bought a nice one on this forum, then Eddie got some new ones in and I couldn't resist. Sold the old one for what I paid for it and bought a new one. :)Originally Posted by dodgyknee

AFAIK i'm not a Russian bride offering $10,000,000 in return for a processing fee to be delivered to my account in Nigeria
having said that, i can do some great deals on VIAGRA and CIALIS
(joke)
Hi all,
Another newbie... will post elsewhere for some advice on a new watch... and watching sales corner like a hawk!
Hi All,
Another new boy. Will have to get cracking on my photography skills and get a proper introduction post up.
Just wanted to say Thanks to Eddie for letting me in.
Cheers
Ian
Didn't notice for a while (read regularly but not tried to log in ) but just been approved - thanks! :P

Finally managed to get accepted in a 'registration window' after many attempts :) Looking forward to joining what seems like an active and helpful forum.
Hey guys,
I just registered, hope to get involved real soon!
Rob
Hi
I also managed to register on Monday and look forward to going through all the posts and learning loads
Hi all
After much lurking I've just managed to register. Look forward to being able to contribute and I suspect having proper access to sales corner is going to prove expensive!
Hi from Vienna! :occasion5:
After long time lurking and some attempts I finally got in ... and will try to stay much harder. :D
Hi All
Just registered and looking forward to contributing rather than just browsing. I have recently tried a new extreme sport called panerai and shirt cuff wrestling
best regards

Hello & welcome, just registered.
Just sneaked in under the radar. Still have a lovely hand-wound watch I bought from Eddie in 2001, and long-time watch-a-holic. My collection has shrunk from 6 down to a transitional 5513 Sub and a JLC Reverso Grande Date. I don't need a chrono, oh no.... :roll:Originally Posted by raysablade
