Getting the back off an ADANAC

Those of us with Marathon steel Navigator watches know that the snap-on back is really hard to remove. The same applies to the Gallet-made GG-W-113.

I've just posted my method on my blog for anyone who doesn't have the correct tool. There's also a shot of the Harley Ronda 373 stem release button.

Very interesting, thanks for posting. I don't think I'll be attempting this on mine anytime soon

I have just removed the back from the same watch useing a Seiko type case opener held in the hand and given a sharp rap with a small mallet.

This tool only cost £3.50 I would think this is money well spent rather than one marred or ruined case.

I will put it back together with a proper case closer.

Good correct tools cost nothing in the long run.

How many watches have you seen destroyed incorrect opening techniques.

Good idea but is it realy worth it???

    Cheers :D

An interesting tool that, I'd like to make one!

Could you post a pic of yours with a metric ruler under the blade? Also, whats the blade thickness and the taper to the "cutting" edge?

    Thanks,
