Very nice, though I have to say I'm still tempted by the Stowa.
Compared to the Archimede Pilot Original
The strap is still a bit stiff after four days but time will tell if that will change, what I do like is the engraved buckle and the levelled pin.
The numerals feature the same font Stowa and all other Archimede Pilot have. Hands are laquered blue (not heated though) and excellent sized. The minute hand hits the indices in the way a minute hand has to. As you all know the case is an Ickler product. Nothing to complain so far.
Nevertheless I rate the finish of Stowa cases/movements to be a tad better which is mirrored by the price. The Unitas 6498 isnīt modified and comes in standard finish. Geneve stripes and blued screws would make it an eyecatcher but that would have some impact on the price too.
Given the price (395 Euro) you can`t go wrong with the Archimede Pilot XLH if a 45mm case fits your wrist. Even with long sleeves and business suit there have been no problems in wearing.
Very nice, though I have to say I'm still tempted by the Stowa.
Cracking watch for the money though I am biased as I have a 42mm Pilot myself - Health to wear ... Paul

Very nice - I like it. Actually popped over to the Archimede site to see about ordering it...
Great looking watch. Enjoy.
Stunning watch really like that one.
