my long gone seamaster GMT felt like wearing silk on the arm!!
that was Ti if i remember correctly..
I'm going to go with my newly acquired Titanium Seamaster the feel on the skin is fdefferent to the steel and the lack of weigth is not the issue I thought it might be.
I'm a bracelet fan - but willing to listen to good straps too.
It's just a matter of time...

1675 GMT. Slim, lightweight, new bracelet is very comfortable. The PRS 18 I'm wearing now on a Nato is pretty damned good as well - maybe something to do with the shape of the lugs.
For me, it has to be this one....no doubt !
Most confortable bracelet, ever !
Anything on a Nato really. Which is why most of mine live on them.
.
I don't know what you mean by 'comfortable' ...
Do you mean a watch that I can't feel is there? I generally like to feel I have a watch on. So a small amount of discomfort is actually pleasing. Anything below 37mm is very comfortable but hardly desirable.
I prefer "not-uncomfortable" to "comfortable" (if it makes sense).

Every watch a story.
My PAM 111 sits just nicely...especially on the velcro coramid strap :D :D :D
This i one of my most comfortable watches i have.
The Linde is a 45 mm watch on my tiny wrist but you never have the big watch feel.
Its amazingly bulky to look at but not to wear.
One of my favorites, Hans
My, still to be serviced, Ebel E-type Chrono.
The rounded case, and that great bracelet just slip around your wrist like a pair of well worn boots.
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
For me its my Seiko SNK809 on a nato.
Compared to my other watches it weighs next to nothing.
CWC chrono (v similar to a PRS-5) on a NATO. But it's quite tall, and like all tall watches, suddenly becomes very uncomfortable if you bash it into something, no matter how much you don't notice it on the wrist.
Hamilton's Khaki King is supremely comfortable, having a good balance between weight of head and bracelet. Another watch with a good balance is Oris's Chronoris (although that too is quite tall, being 7750-powered).
My old Breitling Colt was exceptionally comfortable for a relatively heavy watch (170g on a bracelet) but only when the bracelet was fitted *just* right. In the summer I had to move the clasp out a notch or two as it got very tight in the heat of the day, leaving it a bit loose first thing in the morning. Rolex's quick-adjusting clasp sounds like the very thing for me, and I bet the new 40mm DJ will be great.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
You'll like this Gary, It has to be this one, it's so light I don't know I'm wearing it.
Dave
It would be a joint 1st for my Rado Sintra or the incoming DateJust :)
This Ogival only weighs a few grams and on an Ostrich I forget I even have it on. :)
Good question. Tend not to hve to 'adjust' my Subdate when I wear it or my Superocean but probably because I have worn them for so long. Most comfortable from an initial wear point of view would be either the GO Sport Evolution or GO Senator 8)
Respect the past, live the present, protect the future
I would have to agree - my ti SMP is almost perfect, even on the bracelet.Originally Posted by Omegamanic

- they're all titanium
Elliptic shape, especially designed to fit the human wrist...
A winner ?!?
Rgds :)
John is exactly right.Originally Posted by abraxas

In that respect my 34mm Oysters must be my most comfortable.
Cheers,
Neil.
For me the Omega SMP is perfect, the right diameter, the right height and a comfortable bracelet.
Cheers,
Andrew.
Agree about the first part, disagree on the second.Originally Posted by abraxas

Totally agree with this... too 'comfy' and I might as well not bother :)Originally Posted by abraxas
the rolex Explorer II fits me really well, really comfertable watch, all I have to do now is buy one!
I've owned 3 watches that tick highly in my 'comfort' boxes,
Rolex Sub the case just sits so well on the wrist you forget its on,great under a cuff aswell.
Breitling CA/Ti its light titanium construction made this watch a great all day wearer,i've really regretted letting this go.
Glashutte Sport Evo its curved case back and awesome bracelet makes this a superb easily adjustable all round comfort wearer :)
But if i had to pick one based purely for comfort and ease of wear......................the GO 8)
Has to be this one (cr@ppy cellphone pic, I know, but we all have to start somewhere):
I thought I didn't like natos but now I kinda do :) (I still think that Rolexes should remain on their bracelets, however!).
Cheers
Stern
GMTc is the most comfy I own, closely followed by the Breitling Chronomat evo at 43+ 17mm thick on the bracelet
I find that most watches that I wear consistently for a while become comfortable, even some of the largest/heaviest.

Generally true for me, but I never really got on with my SD. Traded it for a Sub.I find that most watches that I wear consistently for a while become comfortable, even some of the largest/heaviest.
Another vote for the Rolex Datejust here, on its jubilee bracelet.
I tried on a Rado Original Diver once, that was very comfortable too.
for me is it my rado:
For me it is either my blue max (with titanium sections in the incredibly soft rubber) or my beater on a leather strap which looks like it has been run over by a tank. It is the perfect weight just the leather has stretched a bit and is a little soft.
For me it has to be my most recent arrival:
2 nominations, both on rubber straps:
Original Tag F1 (quite small and light)
IWC 2000 Ti - can't tell I have it on my wrist - even wear in bed!
Tudor submariner
Mhh Thats difficult! I find most watches comfortable! though the lighter they are ...
My most comfortable is definately my Damsko DC57, its just the right size for me and very comfy on the leather it came with.
Rolex Exp I or the Tudor Sub
OMEGA SMP Peter blake for me
My Sinn U1 + Seiko SKX009 are my most comfortable - both have the crown at 4, which makes quite a difference in my view.
Andy
Wanted - Damasko DC57
Seamaster Pro 300 auto
Anything with a Blancpain x-71 bracelet!
the Rolex SD 4000
I can't decide so will have to nominate two opposits
Both Seiko's,a "66" on soft leather and a "Monster" on its' bracelet.
They are both extremely comfortable despite their differences. :?
Rolex 5513 for me.
i'm going to set some self-imposed rules in my evaluation. i'm going to exclude dress watches and anything under 37mm because they're generally small and all light enough (unless the case is platinum or tungsten) to be comfortable for most people. i'm also going to exclude watches on straps simply because straps are generally easy to get a good fit...not much doing to drill or punch a new hole if you're a 'tweener'.
it's been my experience that sport/casual watches 38mm or more on bracelet are the most challenging to fit for proper sizing and comfort. so my criteria for most comfortable watch is:
1) comfort on the wrist - a combination of weight and case design (height, case back, crown, etc)
2) good sizing ability of the bracelet & clasp (micro-adjust clasps obviously get extra points) - if you can't get a good fit, the watch is unlikely to be comfortable
3) on bracelet - doesn't take a genius to size a strap!
the most comfortable watches that i've come across are:
#1 - Citizen Attesa:
this watch heads the list in comfort. i'm not one to wear a watch to bed; if i had to, this would be the one to wear and still be able to fall asleep easily. Titanium lightness, thin profile, and full range movement of the bracelet links with a micro-adjustable clasp (without tools) makes this, the clear winner. makes for a great travel watch too - solar power w/2 year power reserve, dual time zones with custom settings for those time zones that are in increments smaller than 1 hour, dual alarm, chronograph, etc...it's got everything except the kitchen sink.
#2 - Ocean 2000: another titanium piece...no micro-adjust in the clasp but the individual links are small enough that they're essentially '1/2' links all around. the offset crown, slightly curved caseback, and thin profile just make this super-comfy on the wrist.
Honorable mentions: GO Evo Sport, IWC Ingenieur 3227
Both of these watches deserve mention as they're rather large and heavy and still manage to be very comfortable on the wrist.
