Interesting, thanks.
Yeah, another roundup. Thanks.
The Magistralis is going to cost a pretty penny, but then I guess if one has to ask the price.......
Most 'one-ofs' are sold before they are even finished and there's a clause in the contract that the maker can get to keep it for a couple of months after completion, for the PR work.Originally Posted by WatchScout

The Magistralis is stunning, and much more likeable than all this DNA stuff :x

I have two excellent additions to the roundup. The first one shows how an automatic chrono still has a clear view (at the back) of the works.

I wonder whether or not the rare Jouvenot has changed your dislike regarding a watch showing some or all innards from the front?Originally Posted by abraxas
No. I think it's an awful looking watch, anyway.Originally Posted by WatchScout

Recently I’ve been enjoying these watch podcasts. It started with the Scott Carpenter interview, above … and I’ve decided they are a new way to enjoy watches. The podcasts are nice and meaty, each over 2½ hours long and very absorbing. A tad Rolex radio, but so what? If your life involves long drives or train journeys, you will love them but don’t impose them on people who are not interested.

That's quite cool. It would have been even better if the whole arms were coloured. (And it didn't look like coloured play-dough at the ends.)Originally Posted by abraxas

I can now dazzle my Rolex buddies witht the fact that the GMT reference 6542 is called "The Pussy" and will call the Submariner for Manometer from now on
