Great mod.
Can't understand why Seiko didn't produce it as a matt finish to start with?
Hi Guys,
I have just got my Seiko BFS back from Michael Newby. He blasted the case and deployant and did a fantastic job. He also got it back to me in 4 days.
If anyone wants there Seiko modding, then i would highly recommend Michael. He does great work, his prices are very reasonable and he is quick...what more do you need :)
Here is what it looked like before
Cheers,
Steve
Great mod.
Can't understand why Seiko didn't produce it as a matt finish to start with?
My kind of mod! Leave the handset & dial alone & just sort the case out .. makes the watch look more toolish .. a great result!
/vince ..
That's trasformed that watch from bling to something I'd love to own. Great professional looking job too
Fantastic looking mod, went from jewelry bling to serious tool watch! Very nice. 8)
That watch works so well blasted, good job done.
That just works! Looks great.
looks much better, and beading the deployant looks cool
8) Like that, but then I do have a bit of a thing for a bead blasted finish.

Wanted - Damasko DC57
If it only was 40mm :(
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
It's a lovely improvement, the strap and clasp too just make it look so right !
I'd like to change the hands, Pulongers could brighten that up a lot. The current ones remind me of a ladies foot in high-heels viewed from the top - and I don't have a foot fetish (but plenty of others :D ).
Uber 8) I like that a lot.
No dissent her, looks great in the matt finish. :D
de-blinged and looking great
Very nice, Michael does superb work
Watch looks great, Steve.
In the "before" pic, there are no numbers on the bezel. Is that really how it comes from the factory?
If so, I wonder why the bezel is knurled and even more if it turns as there are no pip at twelve.
The matt finish looks so much better - Seiko wake up and read the forums, we want more choice!
looks great.
The bezel doesn't turn - that's the way it comes !!! In fact the bezel is still a separate part but is pressed into the case & retained using a nylon gasket....................Originally Posted by WatchScout
Here's mine - with the bling but a different dial:
Watch looked better before the blasting but thats just my opinion.
Looks a lot better sand blasted, cool looking watch.
Loving that finish 8)
That's my opinion too, but good job nevertheless.Originally Posted by Bionic Man
looks better then original !
well done!
That looks soooo much better. Such an improvement. Nice work.
Bloody nice job 8)
"I looked with pity not untinged with scorn upon these trivial-minded passers-by"
Definitely looks better!
Looks fantastic. Think that process may work well on my Bellmatic.
Looks cool with less bling.
Looks amazing . The case finish is perfect and makes the watch look far more robust and manly
That has made a great watch, classy. Nice One !!!
What an effect! Especially the beadblasted bezel. Looks like an exclusive watch - which it is!
