Password for MS 365 Exchange email account

Can anyone tell me how I can reveal the password for an Office 365 exchange email account? I have it set up on my computer (it works fine on both Outlook and my web browser) but I need to set it up on my iPhone and iPad and I don't know the bloody password!

If it's a Mac, is it in the keychain under system settings?

This a personal account? once you have worked it out, turn on passwordless and forget about passwords:

I’ll see if I can find it there, thanks.

It’s a work account, and it’s the email account password I need rather than my MS
    password.

If it's exchange then passwordless would work if your employer has enabled it (Mine has).

Trouble is, I’m the employer/admin but I don’t seem to have admin privileges

Unfortunately Keychain doesn't have the new password - it was changed inadvertently and not saved (don't ask).

Ouch. Just change the password using the forgotten password link?

Won't let me - apparently it needs to be reset by an admin (which I am!).

    Look at this:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mi...admin-password

    Reset my admin password

Use these steps if you forgot your password but you're able to sign in to Microsoft 365 because, for example, your password is saved in your browser:

    1. Select your name (icon) in upper right corner > My Account > Personal Info.
    2. Under Contact details, double-check that your Alternate email is accurate and that you've provided a mobile phone number. If not, change them now.
    3. Sign out: select your name in the upper right corner > Sign out.
    4. Now sign in again: type your user name > Next > and then select Forgot password.
    5. Follow the steps in the wizard to reset your password. It uses your alternate contact info to verify you're the right person to reset your password.

If you forgot your password and can't sign in:

    • Ask another global admin in your business to reset your password for you.
    • Make sure you've provided alternate contact information, including a mobile phone number.
    • Or, call Microsoft Support.

If you go to log in via browser, try incognito, do you see option to access/reveal saved passwords?

I'll call MS support and try to resolve it that way.

Well, I finally did what I should have done at the outset, and went direct to my email service provider. They simply reset my password temporarily, sent me the link needed to sign in and change it to a permanent password of my choice, and all was resolved!
