Just finished Bodkin on Netflix and I enjoyed it. Crime drama set in a small Irish village near Cork.
Executive producers none other than Barack and Michelle Obama. I never knew the produced film and TV.

Baby Reindeer on Netflix. Pretty disturbing in places but quite compelling.

Wanted - Damasko DC57
The best and least sensationalist of all the Opioid over use programmes.
American Pharma promotion was/is crazy! Luckily in UK and Europe there are super strict regulations on what Sales Reps can earn in bonus and there are professional examinations that are tightly monitored and required to be sat and passed in their first year. Followed by regular updates thereafter.
I’m really enjoying clarksons farm at the minute.
I would like to add a quirky new Korean series on Netflix called "The 8 Show"
Not a series but "let it be" on Disney+ is just superb for any Beatles fans.
Cheers,
Neil.
Just finished watching the latest reincarnation of Ian Rankin’s detective series Rebus BBC iPlayer. I always thought Ken Stott would take some beating but Richard Rankin (no relation to the author) absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait for series two.

We finished watching Passenger on ITVX last night and what started as potentially a good series, ended with too much going on, none of which really flowed.
Not that it matters, it was difficult to work out when it was set as well as there were several very old cars but with modern mobile phones. That didn’t make a lot of sense either.

Finished watching 'A Gentleman in Moscow' last night starring Ewan McGregor. Normally wouldn't bother with anything that he's in, but in this he is perfectly cast
I found it to be a really interesting and touching story, anyone else seen this?
It may have been mentioned before as I am usually bored with series after a couple of episodes and thus do not keep up with this thread but “Astrid : Murder in Paris” is absolutely brilliant, although in French. It’s extremely well acted (Astrid is exceptional), funny and I highly recommend.
'Against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain' - Schiller.
Binge watching Top Boy
3 series on Netflix
on the 3rd series now.
Very good I thought especially series 2
Not new but currently running through Mad Men which is brilliant and The Beatles Get Back which is a fabulous insight into the inner workings of the band.
Cheers,
Neil.
Eric, onto episode 3, amazing!
Wrexham 3 is very good, just wish Southend could find someone with very deep pockets!

Re-watching Life On Mars. Just as much fun second time round. Gene Hunt is still a legend.
Dark Matter on Apple TV, up to episode 5 and its very good so far.
Just finished "The Son" on ITV - with Pierce Brosnan. It's a family drama set in late 19th / early 20th century Texas. Quite enjoyed both the seasons.
For those that haven't noticed, series 3 of Outlaws is on Iplayer.
Another nod of approval for Dopesick - which is now available on the BBC iPlayer for those who didn't have access to the original release platforms.
I was shocked at the scale of this whole scandal - particularly as I had heard virtually nothing about it before.
I am not a big fan of Michael Keaton, but thought he was VERY good in this.
Sexy Beast
Against my better judgement I started to watch this after a recommendation from a friend.
Embarrassment of a programme
2 .5 hrs of my life I won't get back
Total and utter shite
Do not watch.
Bodkin and Obituary, both on Netflix have the same Irish vibe but different stories. Dark comedy and plots that you can't figure out in the first couple of episodes like some series, thouroughly enjoyable.
Mayor of Kingstown (Season 3) has just started airing on Paramount+ - new episode every Monday.
This is a great watch.
You must be very patient.
While I watched all of both, there always seemed to be far too much filler in them and I wouldn't watch either again.
Mad Men, especially, just felt like style over substance to me.
I've just finished watching the first series of "Tokyo Vice" - Quite enjoyable, but I felt the ending was a total anti-climax.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
I realise this is the 'Good' TV Series thread, but the new series of 'Responder' on BBC really is a poor follow up to the original.
Series 1 - worth watching.
Series 2 - weak plot, just plain daft, you will be wanting it to finish.
True Detective - Season 4 is pretty good, we just have the last episode to watch.
Just binged "Eric" in Netflix over the weekend - enjoyed it and Benedict Cucumberpatch in the lead role, is (as usual) quite good.
Also started "The Hour", again on Netflix, 2 episodes in and it's OK so far. Originally a 2011 BBC production, it's set in the 1950s and has a stellar TV cast.
Not sure I can agree on that, it wasn't originally intended as a True Detective apparently, but they decided to re-brand it as season 4 anyway. So something felt off, in spite of it being well shot and acted. Perhaps the plot created too much confusion about what genre it is was in (spoiler: the answer turned out to be Scooby Doo Noir). But each to his own.
2 episodes into Eric, it's good.
I simply didn't care about the deeply unlikeable characters in Eric. Cumberbatch is a 1st class c**t, the wife is a dirty cheat, his parents are arseholes, his colleagues are self-serving tossers, we barely even get to know the boy, the cop is an exercise in diversity box ticking with no apparent reason that impacts the story. I don't care if a single one of them lives or dies. I made it to the end of episode 3, calling it quits.
Just started watching and enjoying Parade's End with Cumberbatch. I realise it dates from 2012 but as it is an Edwardian drama that doesn't matter.
Still watching Get Back which is fly on the wall superb and Mad Men which I am enjoying.
Must get round to True Detective 3 later.
Cheers,
Neil.
Watched the first 2 episodes of Presumed Innocent starring Jake Gyllenhaal lat night, thought it was a good start to what is hopefully a great crime series..
Written by David E Kelley, who wrote Big Little Lies, Goliath and a nuer of other US crime shows
Browsing for something to watch and just spotted season 4 of 'The Boys' is now out on Amazon prime. First 3 episodes ready to go now. How did I not know this? This could/should be good
I watched the first ep of Parade's End then forgot about it, how's it so far, worth another look?
Speaking of golden oldies just started re-watching the Sopranos again, quite funny in this uber woke world to see how drama was made back in the freedom days.
Shogun, Mr Inbetween and The Offer were the best series I've seen this year so far.

House of the Dragon is back on Now. Its a bit confusing and I probably should have watched the last episode of the first series, but it looks a strong start for GOT followers.
Series 2 of Tokyo Vice is now available on BBC.
S2 is like S1 but with a much weaker and less interesting storyline.
Its OK (if you likes S1), but S2 doesn't have me gripped at all.
