Thanks mate, just ordered. Will get the Mrs to buy one as well, a lot cheaper than EE roaming charges👍
With summer holidays coming up thought Id post this as it is perfect for those being charged a fee for roaming by their provider, or if you want to dole them out to your kids to keep them happy.
90p for 15 GB for 5 months and free EU roaming and many other countries too including USA and Thailand.
No direct debit it just takes the 90p each month from your credit card.
Cancel after 5 months to avoid a still low 7.90 per month.
I have a work phone and swaps to this sim when I travel to Europe to avoid racking up bills with my employer.
I was ripped off a paid 1 pcm!

Only thing I noticed is I had to change the access point name when roaming abroad.
So, I used the default wap.vodafone.co.uk (Lebara runs off the Vodafone network in the UK), but needed to switch to uk.lebara.mobi when I was in Spain.
Instructions as follows. Takes one minute.
And this is what you need to toggle if it is an Android phone.

Interesting, thanks for the headsup
I saved a huge amount of money using an e-sim for data roaming in Saudi Arabia earlier this year - just called via Whatsapp. O2 would have charged me a fortune!.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Thanks for this I was hoping Turkey might be included but alas I will be paying through the nose with EE
Thanks for heads up. Will have a look into this. Roaming in the US is generally very expensive unless youre on EE (as my Wife is and Im not)

I just had a conversation with EE when it came to renewal.give me free EU roaming or Im leaving for another network. Approved immediatelythe benefit of a decent EE plan with no cost for EU roaming.
I’m on Lebara anyway so get free roaming in EU.
For elsewhere just use an e sim through Airalo

Thanks. Just ordered a few for an upcoming trip with the family.
Juat a quick update. Got back from a week I Croatia where me and the family used 3 of these SIM cards, worked perfectly. Only thing I had to do was change the data settings to the following (which was very easy as the send you a text about it):
APN name: uk.lebara.mobi
Username: WAP
Password: WAP
A lot cheaper than paying EE 3 times over😁
Thanks for this very helpful thread!
Three of us are going to Florida next month.
Am I correct in thinking that if I order three of these SIMS and just pop them into out phones, we get 15gb of data (eg Whatsapp) per month, with no catch?
So clever my foot fell off.
Ive just started using one, thanks for the heads up btw.
When I activated the SIM I received a sms with the instructions for mobile data. Also had to restart the phone when my number ported across.
Off to the States in a few weeks so will report back in July how I faired

If your phone can do it then eSims are a good option. I have used Airalo in countries where EE would rinse me for data.
Apols if I got the US part incorrect, but definitely EU roaming is definitely free as used by me and others.
New offer from Lebara. 1 per month for 7 months. 15 GB and unlimited U.K. mins texts and 100 EU mins.

Folks complaining about EU roaming charges on EE should just switch to 1pMobile. It's the best of the EE MVNOs, a fraction of the price, and EU roaming is included at no extra charge (subject to FUP).
