Just had the first BBQ of the year.
Gorgeous day, a few miles walk down the river this morning, still sat out but have just put a jumper on.

Nice sunny day, 68 miles on a bike wth me legs out.
Cold and cloudy here all day, a very damp feeling. Had the heating on this afternoon.
Beautiful day in Dorset. 19 degrees and blazing sunshine.

Beautiful today in North Devon. Wandered down to Westward Ho! for a pint and a pizza. A lot of happy people enjoying the sun :-)
Dried the washing outside and the cat has a tan. Puuurrrrfect
It became a free-standing expression in certain British and American circles. Those of us brought up in old-fashioned environments were faintly aware of it, as a nice way of being ironic about one's plangent nostalgic yearning. For example, I've a very faint and probably incorrect recollection of it being used as the caption to a New Yorker cartoon.
Sore head this morning. Nothing alcohol related, but because I didn’t put any sunscreen on my slap head yesterday.

Watching my Grandson's match this morning it was very sunny and warm (they are now through to the cup final) has clouded over since just after lunch.
Forecast doesn't look too good tomorrow though so just cut the lawn.
Cheers,
Neil.
I live on the west coast of Scotland. Need I say more?
Gorgeous blue skies this morning, clouded over a bit this afternoon though.

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day
Rain forecast today, but nothing fell. Been out in the garden building planters from old planks, amongst other gardening stuff.
Not seen even the slightest glimpse of sun all weekend. Out with the dog now and it’s cold and misty….for a change 🙈
Lovely this morning and looking good for this week with temperatures in the 20's.
Cheers,
Neil.
I was up all night last night wondering what had happened to the sun, then it suddenly dawned me!
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

My work laptop shows temperature as 20C here in Dorset and according to the forecast, pretty much the same all week.
It's going to the a while for the fabric of our house to warm up as it feels a lot colder inside still!
Lovely here in Sunny Mercia 26c with a moderate breeze. Here for this week helping my friend at his new villa.
Absolutely glorious here today. Sunny and not a cloud in the sky.
Spent a hour weeding the garden and it got pretty warm!
Cheers,
Neil.
27.8'C in my classroom today and there is no upper limit. All windows and doors open.
Been in shorts and sandals the last three days and had to adjust the clasp setting on one watch today.
Taste of summer before six days of rain starting Monday.
Another stunning day here. I’m out with the pooch now and it’s still warm enough for t-shirt and shorts and that would be unusual in July and August.
Meanwhile, in Sweden... (yesterday)

Yep, a big temperature contrast in Scandinavia. Eastern Europe, Greece and southern Italy looking pretty chilly too.
Just about to break into the 40s here in the desert, will follow on with the 50s in 6-8 weeks..... we are beginning to transition from the outside fun in the sand to inside in aircon..... gym and box sets until September October time.....
Just back from my Grandson's cup final.
I was absolutely fried!
They lost 4-2 in an exciting game but the heat did have an adverse effect on some players.
Not football weather at all.
Cheers,
Neil.
Been lovely this weekend, drove up to the Lake District yesterday for a FTF on a watch sale and washed the car earlier, just like a hot summers day, shorts and no top on, bit of Sun on my back. There are warnings for storms, but at present the sun is still cracking the flags.
Just wait a few billion years and it will be toasty enough. Given the way things are heating up you might not have to wait that long. Look on the bright side.
Back to raining here after some glorious days. Was very lucky that builders did work on one of our windows and surrounds yesterday (which required it to be removed and refitted).
I was going to cut the grass today.
Too wet now.
Cheers,
Neil.
Just sitting it in the garden. It's red hot. Must be about 27/28c!
Well after a few nice days dotted around throughout May, normal service has resumed. Yesterday saw yet more flooding of major roads where the water table in adjacent fields can no longer cope with the monsoons. The rain was bouncing off the ground for hours without a break.
Today is 11 degrees, blowing a gale and raining. So depressing.
