Has to be a scam
I received this in my personal email inbox this morning...
'Hello, How are you doing? I am about to purchase a Rolex Daytona from a member on TZ. He gave me your username as a reference, He said you would vouch for him. Kindly find his listing and details below for your perusal. LINK NOT INCLUDED TO ENSURE NOT ACCIDENTALLY CLICKED
Thanks in advance and stay safe.'
I think it is a scam or phishing, as email addresses are not given on TZ and trusted members would not give them out anyway.
I have not included the live link to protect members on here from clicking in error.
If this were genuine, whoever was allegedly referring me as a 'reference' would have PM'd me first to ask permission and certainly not given my email address out, even if they knew it.
Be warned as it may not be the only one.

Yeah. I mean, who could possibly want a Daytona!
It's a minefield really.
I keep getting emails from a Nigerian prince, who wants to send me $1m, which will thankfully pay for the penis enlargement offers I keep getting, that all the horny Russian girls that apparently want to meet me clearly don't know about!

When on here has ever used someone else for a reference, that’s what the H&V thread is for.
Rather than the usual scam of send out millions of emails to random people, this sounds very targetted to TZ. Was there a username this was associated to? If so, maybe needs highlighting to Eddie to get them blocked.
Check your general settings - vcard and email….
The link appears to be referencing the TimeZone forums, not TZ-UK. https://www.timezone.com/
Are you a member there?
Either way, it's all very scam-tastic, so I'd delete and move on.
I’ve been PM’ed several times over the years by members wanting references for others who have dealt with me.

I’ve had this email too and am also a member of the American site Timezone. Deleted and will move on
