I've only ever had 2 comments, both from women. 1st was an Oris dive watch and the 2nd was a Seiko orange monster Mk2.

A client commented today on how much he likes my Damasko. Very impressed with the readability.
Nice.
Thought it would be this:
But have had more comments on this:
I've only ever received 1 complement and that was for one the cheapest common least flashy watches in the box... My skx007

In all the years I have had decent(ish) watches no one have ever said anything, until last week! I was at a water park in Mexico, wearing my Zenith Defy 21, and a kid - maybe 10, said "nice watch", i cant image he even knew what it was .
Quite a few positive comments when wearing my root beer, most other watches don’t tent to be noticed .
My wife has a pink dial Cartier pasha, small. She often gets comments on it but I rarely get any comments on my watches

Similar thing for me. I was climbing in the Dolomites and was sat on a ledge belaying my climbing partner. A faster party joined us on the ledge before continuing above us. Just before they left one of them commented on my SKX009 saying how much he likes it and was struggling to find one in his country.
It’s the only time a stranger has ever commented on one of my watches. I’d feel uncomfortable in certain situations but on this occasion it felt fine.

Panerai for me…I’ve had several comments over the years but always from other Panerai owners, or wives of.
Unsolicited comments? Possibly five times in the past ten years! Varied collection, usually visible.
Can't recall more than one comment on a single watch to be honest!
One and only, the MIL, upon seeing my 42 mm mostly dial Nivrel Couer de la Sarre ´´finally you wear a watch big enough for ME to read´´, thanks Marge, that´s my purpose in life attained
Has to be Panerai Luminor. That crown guard...
Almost guaranteed to be a nice conversation with the chap that spots it, as opposed to most who spot your Rolex....
Oddly used to be my U Boat Classico, mainly from non watch people.
Then my old Panerai 560 - mainly from Sales Assistants in ADs
Breitling SOH and BB58 though not very often.
Rolex Air-King never got noticed once in 10 years of ownership
