Fine performer RIP.
R.I.P. Louis Gossett Jr.
Passed away, yesterday aged 87.
Among Gossett’s many roles on the big and small screens, his best-known include drill instructor Gunnery Sergeant Emil Foley in
“An Officer and a Gentleman,” for which he became the first Black actor to win an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Fine performer RIP.
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."
"You gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em".
RIP, superb actor.
"Mayo-nnaise!"
Sad to hear, I thought his performance in An Officer and a Gentleman was outstanding.
My wife didn't know who his was.
So last night I said she was in for a treat and we watched Midnight Sting aka Diggstown. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104107
In my head, it was epic. But it hasn't aged well since 1992.
Wife thought my choice of film was bad!
I was tempted to show her Iron Eagle, but I think that would have been worse!
Sad news. One of the defining films of that decade.
He was one of the more memorable recurring characters on Rockford Files, playing a rival PI to Rockford. Should've been a bigger star but found fame a bit late (45 in 'An officer...'). Similar tale to many of his generation of black actors.
Sad news.RIP
RIP
Top movie scene that.
