I think this might be my favourite Seiko....1968 Skin Diver.

It's mesmerising.
Well I have to say that I am massively impressed with this watch.
Fit and finish is exceptional, the sapphire crystal is beautiful, the pushers are very smooth. The simple, clean dial set looks so tidy and the time dial has lumed hands and indices. The bracelet is good enough and the movement is remarkable.
It feels like a very well thought out watch. Clean, clear, crisp, "just right".

I do like the look of these watches.
did you look at the other versions of this design?
ie khaki stripe or the all black one?
The hands on the khaki and black are a different colour and look better than your all silver one.
but overall the dial and uniformity of yours looks more statement.
Hmm decisions......
I looked at the one with the red hands. It was a couple of hundred more, but the clarity wasn't as good.
I'd looked at all of the variety online, but the one I went for was the one I wanted and the one (of two) that they had.
Worn it all day and yesterday evening. Absolutely fantastic piece. Been timing with it today too coincidentally.
Lovely. That looks unworn.
I love it when the Japanese go full 'mad-bastard-mode' with watch design, and in its day this was one such - it could only be Japanese. My black-dialled example hasn't left my wrist since it arrived - been a bigger hit than I ever expected. Amazed these only lasted two years.
Ive reached the end of my Seiko watch collecting journey:
A talented friend made me some unique bezel inserts.
Ordered yesterday afternoon. Arrived this afternoon. Great service for a weekend order.
Cheerful Seiko 5 on a rainy Sunday, on a strapcode asteroid bracelet.

My new gold capped Seikomatic
Well this arrived last week and on first glance and try on I wasn’t convinced partly due to the the possibility of It being too small for my 7.5inch wrist but I thought it looked great and actually wears the same as my 14060 on a rubber strap. It’s now staying:)
Sorry about the Rolex pic on a Seiko thread but it’s just to show the two different watches on my wrist. If you can rock a 14060 happily then you can happily wear a new 62MAS IMHO.

Seiko's "mini diver". Not a 2205 but a 2625. They are so well built and this one is 44 years old in May.

That sounds about right in most cases.
It's a great looking watch and the Seiko built quality back then was spot on with these small cased Seiko Divers watches.
I bought this via SC last summer. I decided to give it a light case refinish a couple of days ago, so that's why this example looks rather nice.
The bezel was taken off as it was a little tight. The gasket was very soft and pliable so a good clean of the bezel and area around the crystal retaining ring (and some silicone grease applied to the bezel gasket) resolved that issue.
I believe from a quick google check that it’s around 34mm not including crown. Very nice but maybe a touch small even for my dinky 7.5 inc wrists although saying that is there a too big or too small? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder:)

1973 Jumbo arrived last Saturday in exchange for a 2nd Gen Orange Monster. I'm over the moon with this hunk of 70s funk.
Cheers
