Battery on my Aerospace died not long after I got it. MMC of this parish put a new one in for me this week and I'm thrilled to have it back. The only issue is I can't remember how to work it.

Are you trying to reset the time and align the hands? Or just general use of the functions?
Just rotate the crown lightly with the underside of your finger (and with the watch on your wrist). That will scroll through the functions, usually then it's a long press of the crown to trigger the time/date setting etc and you use the crown to do that.
Bit of advice, if the Aerospace is giving you issues with regards to using the functions then I'd strongly recommend steering clear of the X33 or the Breitling B55
Cheers.
The one thing I can't find it how to brighten the digital display. I've done it accidentally, no idea how, and it's lovely, but I'm damned if I can find a way to do it deliberately...

I think that's a quick flick of the crown. By brighten you mean turn on the backlight?
If you have the manual surely it would be easier to just read that?
I do and I did back in the day. And if I have to delve in to the safe I'll do so again.
