Berlin 1933 on BBC3 only three episodes - chilling.
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."
"You gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em".
I found Kin series 2 here https://drive.google.com/drive/mobil...P61wp-6ctlRw9n
Enjoy 😉 I think Kin series 2 is better than the first. I can’t get enough of Clare Dunne who plays Amanda Kinsella.
I’m currently hooked on The Lazarus Project…. If you like time travel/Groundhog Day give it a go!
Agreed.
Lillyhamner was a good find by my pal Lee Harrison.
The star is Steven Van Zandt who plays a great gangster.
He was also in the Sopranos.
He's got the face for it!
He's also the guitarist in the East St Band and been pals with Bruce Springsteen for around 50 years.

Fisk on Netflix is laugh out loud funny.
I was a bit sniffy about the initial SH episode, but the series is so much better than "Treason":
It is not possible to improve upon the Independent's summary: "Too dumb to introduce any nuance, too trite to sustain any tension. For a show about intelligence, Treason is sadly lacking any"
World War 2 . From The Frontlines is excellent so far .
I’m on Ep 3 and it’s quite gripping .
The footage has been colourised and enhanced .
There are interviews with veterans too which is very sobering . One German soldier was told to take a Russian prisoner into the woods to shoot him . When they were alone, he lowered his rifle and told the Russian that he was a soldier, not a murderer and let him go .
It is good, and the colourisation is well done - not too vivid, no frame rate/pixel rescaling oddities.
I have finished 2 episodes so far, and already feel myself regarding at as a light version of (the vastly superior) The World At War for our attention-span challenged times.
Watching Mayfair Witches on iPlayer, with Alexandra Daddario - about 4 episodes and quite good so far.
Not all that new, but finished S4 & 5 of Top Boy this weekend.
Just brilliant.

Wanted - Damasko DC57
A friend recommended Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix and I’m really enjoying it. Although it’s an animation, it’s not one for kids.

44 years old so not exactly new, but I am greatly enjoying the original BBC Series of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Recent reminisces from Michael Jayston (who played Peter Guillam) here:
Vigil season 2
I am trying to watch it without being critical at all the errors/nonsense, but end up watching it as a comedy anyway.

In other news watching all of the BBC Pucks series again.
It seems far,far better the secound time around.
I suspect some here would be appalled by Obliterated on Netflix, given that it’s a comedy about a crack CIA team attempting to save Las Vegas from a nuclear device, after partying hard with every drug imaginable, with some nudity thrown in for good measure (and even Wags from Billions). For others it’s a daft and binge-able Christmas treat, you know who you are!
I couldn't get further than 15 minutes into it. The helicopter bit. It pushed the ludicrous factor beyond my festive tolerance.
Bikini-clad multilingual babe as top operative? Check! Hunky subordinate (naturally...) male colleague in beach shorts? Yup. Bad guys with stubble and foreign accents? Present and correct. Like a teenager's furtive fantasy. A foxy agent even comments appreciatively on one guy's "abs", mid-mission. We are not just ogling the talented bikini girl. No. This team has skills and sass.
(I suspect I have just sold it to some )
The new Percy Jackson tv series on Disney+ is quite good! Decent acting
Not new but has anyone watched Mr Robot? Just heard about it today.
Just been watching Dickensian on iPlayer - missed it the first time round but my wife watched it and I'm now hooked.
It's a very clever story linking many of Dickens' characters together around the murder of Jacob Marley.
I binge watched all 4 seasons of it during lockdown and was totally hooked although there wasn't much else to do at the time! It's one of my all time favourite shows but season 2 did lose its way a bit before getting back on track. Even the ending (throughout it all you keep asking yourself how are they going to end this?) was good.
Some how missed this when it first came out.
For All Mankind.
Its about the space race, but the Russians landed on the moon first. Which prompts very competitive space missions.
4 seasons and each season is +10 years.
I have just started season 2, but so far very good.

Apologies if posted before, this thread has got huge!
Monarch, Legacy of Boring!
Up to episode 7, nothing has happened, lots of promise but nothing delivered.
We just finished War Sailor (Netflix) Norwegian, 3 episodes, not exactly uplifting, but very good.
Secret Invasion (Netflix) Probably slightly better than usual Marvel series.
Winter King (ITV X) we've watch 5 of the 6 episodes son far. Pretty good if you like that sort of thing.

Wanted - Damasko DC57
Working my way through Winter King.
Latest Fargo on Amazon is gripping stuff
The Winter King is OK, but I preferred the Last Kingdom, based on the same author's (Bernard Cornwell) Saxon Stories series.

completely with you
7 in and virtually zero Monsters in it , I have taken to Fast Forwarding through it on day of release just to see if any 'action' happens
shame to see an actor like Kurt Russell involved in such a bore fest
on a positive it made me start watching 'Slow Horses' which is utterly brilliant, great casting and dry humour.
Season 3 of Slow Horses has just finished and I thought was the best one yet. Gary Oldman is absolutely brilliant in it

I’ve just finished watching Obliterated.
I feel like I shouldn’t have enjoyed it, but I did.
It is far too sweary- the f word is hugely overused. It has a lot of gratuitous nudity, which I have no problem with. It has considerable drug use, which does nothing for me.
The ensemble cast are surprisingly strong, with no weak links.
And the storyline is truly preposterous, and yet it’s all done with such gusto you can’t help but smile and laugh, and frequently cringe.
Ps For All Mankind is superb.
So clever my foot fell off.
Gave up on The Winter King, I thought the acting & story were naff. Love Fargo 5. Best series I’ve watched over Christmas.

A Small Light - this is the story of the people who helped Anne Frank and her fellow onderduikers hiding in Amsterdam in WW2.
It is based on real life events and it is acted in a very contemporary way which brought the horror of the whole thing to life in a way that I have never seen before. Great acting from all the cast and even though (because?) you know how it will all end, it’s a real binge-watch. Filmed in many of the authentic parts of Amsterdam and where it is set.
Highly recommended.

I have to agree with this I felt the bounds of believability were really stretched in the last episode................... However, the trailer for series 4 shown at the end of the last episode has got me very excited to see what happens next
I've just downloaded some of Mick Heron's Slow Horses audiobooks, interested to see how the they align with the TV show
