Just two for me -

I've enjoyed your replies to this thread and your watches/pics over the last few weeks, thanks all
plenty of temptation and inspiration but not enough to sway me from my initial choices (current funds considered!)
after some negotiation with retailers of both, I've taken a punt and the white IWC Mark XX will be with me early next week
cheers all

Explorer appears a few times in this thread it's clearly a favourite, looks good on the Orange (not pink) rubber
unfortunately wears too big for my liking, my Dad has one & I've tried it, just doesn't suit my wrist, it wears better on my forearm plus I'd have to take a scalpel to the cyclops
I reckon I'm more suited to Mrs K's Tank

Anyone else got one of these? I think strictly speaking is silver rather than white but I see I'm not the only one blurring the lines and it's a lot of watch for the money so what the heck:
New to me AP 15300. Size wise it’s perfect!

Not pure white, a bit silvery but white enough I think.

Acquired from a jeweller's in Chelmsford about three years ago. Very nice for £75, though I don't wear it much.
36mm Automatic Aqua Terra (Mother of Pearl & Blued Steel)

A little update,
The IWC arrived last month and I was pleased with my decision to buy, unfortunately after a day I noticed a small issue and so it had to go back.
After inspection by IWC, a replacement was sent which I have picked up today. Really happy with this.
Dial is white in some light and silvery in others

I'd say that most watches posted here aren't really proper white - goes with the territory, manufacturers mostly seem to go for approximately whitish rather than the pure variety. I can see why - I think a pure white dial can be hard to pull off, it can look rather clinical or bland if the design isn't just right. I'd say the Explorer IIs on show in this thread are an example of doing it right, they look damn good.
Nice Nomos, by the way.
Think my JLC Heraion is the only pure white dialled watch that I own

I remember when I got mine trying on both the 36mm and 39mm and having some difficulty deciding which one to go for. I chose the 39mm but looking at your 36 it's pretty sweet, the indices and hands in the context of the smaller dial give it a certain look that is maybe slightly more vintage.
I have a few but this 5 day CW C9 Harrison is my favourite
New to me, had the black dial previously and think out of the two I prefer this, in some light has a silvery tone to it.

Aqua Terra 38mm, it’s white in daylight but in lowlight has a kind of silver hue. Omega list it as silver so who knows - I regard it as a white dial watch though.
