Back on my bullshit with a PAM001, C-Series. It was the Luminor/Marina that first got me into watches twenty years ago, so it's nice to have one of that kind of vintage back in the box.
The 232 is a true beauty...
My 249 is the Radiomir of choice today. Thanks for letting me have it back Mick ;-)

[QUOTE=Fredamens;6306397]Some amazing watches over the last few days
Indeed, in fact this now gigantic thread has reignited my passion for the brand. It was the very first nice watch I ever bought myself - from Selfridges back in 2005 when the Panerai section was a small display case right next to one of the entrances to the store, before the Wonder room existed.
It was a Pam 119 40mm with a blue face which my son had always lusted after so I got it serviced and polished and gave it to him many years later for his 18th birthday. I’m very satisfied that he’s worn it every day since.
I’ve been on the look out for older Pams and bought a 232 earlier this week, largely after having looked at pictures and reviews from members here. At 47mm I thought it would be too big for my 7 inch wrist, based on having tried on luminors of the same size, but it doesn’t seem to look too ridiculous. I suspect the wire lugs make all the difference. Now I’m on the hunt for a 000 and a 111 with a painted dial.
Here’s a quick pic in the taxi on the way back to the train station:
anyone tried the new tre giorni radiomirs? specifically the 1334 and 1335?

I do like a sandwich dial
Do any of you have experience of buying from the Panerai online store?
Specifically regarding a discount or extra straps etc.
Interested to hear any experiences. I'm currently looking at something which is available online only.
Cheers Andy
I've bought previously from Berry's etc and had discount and straps etc.
Currently looking at the 1087 which is an 'online exclusive'
I've been in touch with the 'concierge' and was basically told no discount.
I'm currently waiting to a response with my request for an extra strap.
Was hoping someone here had previous online buying experience

Got to stop in the Venice Italy Panerai store today. It is very small but had quite a few watches. The salesman was very friendly and helpful for anyone thinking of going.
Sorry no pics.
It’s a blue day

It was reading your brilliant review Kerry - along with a few others online - that made me interested in these radiomirs in the first place actually. I knew I wanted a 190 for all the reasons in your thread, but I came across a 232 first. Really happy with both of them. The brown dial and the gold hands on the 232 just stunning IMO.

As an aspiring Panerai owner what good resources should I be reading? For example I’m struggling to find the difference between the Radiomir https://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Panerai...335/p/17650585Origine and the Radiomir https://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Panerai...383/p/17650662Officine
… other than )2k!

So those watches look very similar! They have the same movements even. I couldn’t work it out so I called Panerai in London and they said the two watches have a different case finishing and different dial - the 383 has a fully polished SS case with a sunburst dial and the 335 has a brushed SS case with a gradient dial. The 335 also differs apparently in that it’s a reproduction of an older historical 45mm Radiomir in their past catalogue. But that’s it.
I’m really into Panerai watches but like a lot of other people, I prefer the older models, if you wanted some reading material about their pre-Vendome days in the mid to late ’90’s and some of the classic watches they were making in the early to mid 2000’s then the following are reasonably good starting points:
https://www.ablogtowatch.com/jose-pe...nerai-watches/
https://www.fratellowatches.com/buyi...he-1990s/#gref
https://www.fratellowatches.com/buyi...he-2000s/#gref
There’s also all the Perezcope website stuff about dodgy vintage watches at auction and the ’scandal’ of cheap movements in expensive models from a few years ago but that might just put you off!
