Ive had a couple of cars in the last few years with different variations of LED headlights - 2 with the more expensive Matrix versions that stay on full beam when a car approaches but you can see the light bending around the oncoming car or the car in front whilst remaining on full beam. Another has the more basic type that switches full beam on and off automatically depending on speed and oncoming lights. Ive no idea how well they work although I suspect the response times for dipping or bending the light has got better as the tech improves. I get the odd random flash from oncoming motorists once in a blue moon but I have lots of country lanes on my route to and from work and Id say the lighting on my current daily commuter car responds far more quickly than Id manage manually which is why I leave it switched on (its on by default). So people might not necessarily be directly for blame?!
Pre-ignition, detonation, pinking, knock.
Specifically, the difference and causation of each phenomena.
I don`t think anyone really understands!
People who walk around or try to do things e.g. type in a password or put shopping in a bag whilst keeping hold of a mobile phone. Put it in your pocket?
People with the clear fridge doors open in the supermarket whilst reading ingredients or seeing what is in the fridge. The door steams up, now no one can see what's in there.
Why some in the US put butyric acid in chocolate.
Back in the day, the milk used to spoil slightly in the lengthy transit from farm to chocolate maker, and the chocolate resulted in a slightly acidic / off taste.
When transportation, refrigeration etc improved, they had all grown up with that being the taste of chocolate, so they decided to make it taste the same by the addition of it.
Properly weird when you think about it.
Why the northern chap on BBC Radio 2 (Mark Radcliffe?) has to tell me exactly the same thing EVERY TIME I ask Sonos/Alexa to play BBC Radio 2.
...'Did you know...'
- YES - YOU TELL ME EVERY MORNING!
Eat them quick!

Could they be frozen?
Also, its Thanksgiving tomorrow, so perhaps useful for some.
Mind you, pigs in blankets are not just for Christmas! 👍
Exactly. I make them all year round along with pork & chestnut rissoles to accompany the roast all through autumn and winter. They often make an appearance on the bbq too.
I dont get how people only have them over Thanksgiving / Xmas. They taste so good - often said Id take away the usual 5 rib of beef before I got rid of the sides!
This year will be a weird one as my sister is not well, so I will be cooking sous vide steaks instead of the rib, that way we can focus on her just being relaxed vs me running around her kitchen looking for what I need. Makes my day easier as shes only got 1.5 ovens and Ive got quite used to having 2 full sized ones - and thats me cooking for just the 2 of us!
The fuss over Christmas, especially for the non religious - of which I am one. A horrible, cold time of year punctuated by 6 weeks of forced jollity. It puts many people into debt and has a massive negative global impact with all the associated tat going to landfill, and all the wasteful energy spent on sparkly lights and other nonsense. Keep it to a week maximum. And if you point this out youre a miserable Scrooge apparently! - if we really want to live on the set of Bladerunner, crack on like this for another 20 years or so!
Agreed, the commercialisation of it and this need to start flogging stuff in November is a crock of...however, perhaps because it was so good, such a highlight when I was a child...presents and unlimited food!...Can't help having a warm feeling for it to this day...plus having the young'un, well there's a kind of magic, not much of that around nowadays.
Also find keeping it brief helps, easier to do here than the advertising blasted from all sides UK I suspect..I like the older idea of having a feast in the deep mid winter to keep warm, celebrate still being alive and hopefully encourage/welcome the return of the sun also resonant, a connection, idea/tradition that stretches back thousands of years.
Heck as you note, we crack on like this for another 20, 30, 40 years, and a forced return to a simpler, primitive life might be on the cards for the survivors, gathered together around a fire in the cold dark, sharing what food they have, wishing for the return of the sun and warmer days...full circle kinda.

Ive got kids, although now in their 20s and Ive never been a fan tbh! - Im not a miserable person at all and its fine for 3 or 4 days, but kids or not its so blatantly commercial now it makes me roll my eyes! - I actually think its this whole attitude that we do it for the children that perpetuates the myth of Christmas fun. Sure, when the children are little its a lovely few days, Father Christmas, a mince pie by the fire and a carrot for Rudolph. But beyond that - a few relatives you dont see at any other time of the year, naff Christmas movies Ive watched once and never again, the excuse for alcohol consumption and overeating followed by the guilt trip January new years resolutions - makes my teeth itch!!!
The ability of a small spill on your desk to travel and almost flood the desk.
Why motorbikes are so-called.
People with the freezer doors in supermarkets open so that if/when they make a choice the doors are now steamed up.
Women who put their mobile phones in the back pocket of their jeans. Stupid or what!
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
Why people that kept their last car 15+ years, are all over watching YT as to what the best current leases are given they only just got a new one. Utterly bonkers behaviour.

The first two-wheeled 'push bikes' were called celeriferes & were propelled by using the feet against the ground (like a modern-day child's balance bike). That was in the late 1700s.
Pedals were added to the front wheel in the 1860s.

Jim.
Why there are so many different charging cables for things these days.
I just completely knackered the terminals inside my Nextbase dashcam camera by using the wrong cable type, which looked almost the same as the right one.
Well there goes another 150 in the bin.
CORRECTION - More like 250 FFS
