Pretty good availability on Oxford street. Managed to complete my collection this afternoon with the Atlantic.
The Green one is great, first thing I did was swap the strap to a spare one from Helson, the strap is held in by a bar with a removable end piece, easy to do IF you have a 0.9mm hex key around the house ( I did)!

I need a grey one for a pals birthday if anyone is in town before me
Thanks in advance.
Are we still celebrating plastic tat?
Grabbed this and a Moon Omega from Swatch in Venice. Looks great, had to adapt the NATO.

In Las Vegas last weekend the salesman told me there was a queue every day before opening for Moonswatches and Blancpain Xs, and that they’d sell out in a few minutes. Next day awaiting a rental car the chap in front of me had a Swatch carrier in each hand with three Moonswatches in one and three Blancpain Xs in the other.

A bit like the Moonswatch, I don't think the standard Nato strap does much for these but even with a £7.50 colour coordinated Aliexpress rubber strap, it looks much better IMO and the watch sits better on the wrist as well as being able to actually see through the display casebook! (strap is actually navy but doesn't show the colour so well in the photo)
First time I've seen one of these and thought wow that looks good!
On a trip to Xiamen in China late last year I came across a Swatch shop and all of these were available but didn't tickle my fancy tbh.
All the Moonswatchs were available too.

The newest edition. Looks imo, ace

And hopefully because they weren’t massively popular on the grey market (at least not for very long) we won’t have the same issues with queuing and lack of stock.
Maybe for the first couple of weeks but after that.

That Ocean of Storms is the first one I’ve seen that’s tempted me. It does look good. Trying to be sensible this year though !
This Black version will scupper the sale of all other colours, this is the one to have.
This is them doubling down on what can only be deemed a relative failure, compared to the Moonswatch. Trying to redeem sales by producing a less contentious colour. One is left totally outside the colour rationale of the rest of the range. With a silly name. "Ocean of storms" ?????
I'll give it this, it looks the least bad of all of them.
But it remains an object of derision rather than envy for me.
The black does look good but having owned and sold a few of these and the moon swatches (for RRP or below) they just left me cold after a few weeks of ownership. IMO they are never going to be a watch to ‘bond’ with, I found myself just not wanting to wear them after the initial ‘excitement’ of picking them up.
The black one looks better than the 'proper' Blancpain model!
Certainly does at that price with the NATO strap
Isn't the "silly" name the name of the largest luna mare?
I like it but think it will be hard to get hold of, at least for a couple of weeks.
Black would have been better as a no date imo.
For the money I’d still rather have a Seiko.
Lots on eBay already!
I will just wait until i can go to London or can get one from here!

Whatever is looks like, it is still plastic (or should I say bioceramic) tat.
This is the rub for me - I actually quite like the feel of bioceramic, I have other Swatches that use it for the case - and I do like the spin they’ve put on the FF, but the asking price is fully detached from reality. If it was half that then I’d be all over it.
I like the black one, I’ll likely buy it but then again I own 2 moonswatch, as does my wife and I’ve had 2 others that I’ve sold on.
The price argument is nonsensical when an Omega nato strap is £170 and a Rolex service is £700…….
I quite fancy one of the black ones, despite the price.
To a degree the price argument is total nonsense. Yes you can get a seiko 5 for similar, but it’s immediately halved in value the day you buy it.
Whereas the moonswatch (and I’m sure the black blancpain swatch) maintains a lot more value.
Is the system51 still considered a disposable movement, or serviceable?

Unless you’re planning to sell, what matters is what watch you’d prefer for the money, not residual values.
To my understanding, the Sistem51 is a disposable movement in that it is not designed to be serviced in any way, shape or form. If it's the same as the old ones, you can't even regulate it - it's set at the factory by having a laser beam shave the balance wheel until it runs at the right rate. Add to that at in at least some of the watches it's used in, the case is then sealed and you can't even open it to swap the movement - I don't know if that is the case with the Blancpain Swatch though.
Stupid question … the bezel insert is plastic, right?
When a as new baby dreadnought is selling for less than £300 (and other good watches for even less) I just can not see the point of these.
A big watch name in a plastic(ish) case at a relativley high price point,no thanks.
What next a 70s quality fibreglass Aston Martin with a sealed engine that cant be repaired.

I do quite like the look of the black one but the fact that these go in the bin once they need a service is something which sits very badly with me.
Having said that, maybe that’s the fate of all affordable watches, I’m not sure there are many G-shocks or orient bambinos getting serviced.
The use of eco friendly marketing is a bit vulgar though: BIOceramic and recycled fishing nets are up cycled into plastic for landfill.
Have just picked up a black one - wasn't aware of it but was offered by the assistant. They were quiet and I said my GF had a couple of Moon Swatch.
As the owner of the genuine article it didn't take long to ignore the price.
Full set of Moonswatch - apart from Neptune - and the full set of Blancpain's available in Edinburgh Swatch shop yesterday.
Tried the Ocean of Storms, but was completely underwhelmed.
Full set in Liverpool too. I did pick up an Ocean of Storms though

Beat me to it! That looks great! Here’s mine on the original strap.
I am really pleased with mine for the modest outlay.
The only embarrassing thing was mine kept stopping and when I popped in to Swatch they explained I was winding it the wrong way. Sistem 51 movement winds anti-clockwise....doh
