I dropped my Daytona off at St James on Friday and they told me it would be back within 20 days of accepting the quote which was a pleasant surprise. Either no-one can afford to have their watch serviced at the moment or they’ve taken on more watchmakers !
I am surprised it's quicker, given the movement issues. I'm sure I read about servicing / warranty delays on TRF for this very reason. Maybe UK not as impacted.
3 weeks from dropping off the watch to receiving it back.
That’s great news!

I’m a big fan of Rolex and 4 weeks is unbelievable
( years ago I waited 8 months for a Red Sub !! ) and is great but the other part of me is thinking are people fed up of the price rises/ parts required etc we won’t service unless you buy a new bracelet malarkey and taking stuff elsewhere ?
When you consider the infrequency of a service (every 10 years) I do not think the price charged is terrible.
Also the RSC customer service is exception. I noticed my recently serviced watch was running a few seconds slow p/d, popped into RSC and it was regulated on the spot.
The tech explained that although the official tolerances are +2 / -2 they ideally want all watches that have been through the workshop to run at 0 to +1s.
I agree regards the service , I have received great service as well , amazing though now that the price has doubled that they have now said up to 10 years between services ( depending on how it’s worn and what it’s for though ) might just be me being a bit sceptical ?
That’s amazingly fast but also fairly expensive! I recall paying ~£500 for a service 5-6 years ago
