The simple SKX007 is a musthave in Seikoholic (or any) collection (I really dont get the new 5's). An icon. Replaced only the seconds hand with the Padi model one. Not a big mod, but just enough to be a little different and I do like it
I think s sumo crown/ stem will drop right in - the cyclops I guess can be removed with a bit of acetone, masking tape and a chisel

@Gomers I got the watch from a colleague on local watch forum. The seconds hand code is 3AX125F2ARP from Seiko PADI Tuna
I have always preferred the look and weight of a steel 300m Tuna over the 1000m titanium and ceramic model. The SBBN051 changed that as it has the silver coloured case rather than the yellow gold coloured case. That didn't stop Seiko giving it yellow gold coloured shroud screws, so they had to go. Bry's steel torx screws look so much nicer, especially with a brushed steel shroud. That's how I like a 1000m tuna, and the steel shroud gives it a little more weight too. I like that as well.

My all-OEM build. To me it’s the ultimate SKX.
OEM SKX007 case, caseback, bezel and insert (Aligned!), SKX171 dial, Seiko OEM Kanji Day wheel, OEM SARB059 crown and stem, Seiko NH35. Finally, a fitted curved waffle from Uncle Seiko (and a bit of character via a gouge on the case at 7 o’clock).
Trouble is, I don’t like it as much as my SPB207 and it doesn’t get a look in most of the time. I keep thinking about moving it on but I’m too attached now I’ve spent so many hours and a disproportionate amount of money on it.
Never liked the standard bezel. Coin edge on this, was sand blasted so changed the finish slightly using a garyflex block (it’s slightly brighter than it appears in the photo), new bezel that looks a bit sharper to my eye.
SKX171 with applied markers, moded with coin edge bezel, ceramic insert, flat sapphire with clear ar and lollipop seconds hand from skx173 (and a big like to yelow skxa up noice)
My first go at modding - given I looked at the Swatch Blancpain collaboration, and didn’t feel like spending the money, I got this all in for $390.
SNZH from eBay - currently running at -2s / day. Crystal is scratched up a little but I’ll get to that in time.
Sapphire bezel insert, dial and hands from Yobokies.
All in all a good little project - nothing ground breaking of course, but a great step into what I can see being a money pit! I luckily had all of the tools I needed, but I can see me upgrading some of them if (when) I get into the next project.
Ash
Spb053 with Spb051 bracelet. 62mas hands and lumed ceramic bezel.

I have this 7S35, bead blasted and with a custom handset:
Bought it from a guy who used to do these, probably about sixteen years ago. I have no recollection who though. Don't suppose anyone knows?
Not a modded Seiko (per se) but my take on a Japanese Deep Sea with Seiko movement.
I put a strap on this thing:
but it's really too big a lump of a watch for my liking these days. Coming to Sales Corner shortly I suspect, though not sure if anyone would want it.
Full Custom SKX I built a while back.
Wanted to build a faux vintage style watch that was still in the spirit of the original watch.
I’ve been doing lots of modding and building over the last few years but this is a real favourite.
This one (skx171 mod) went to forum buddy...decided to keep just one skx
