Under Conte we would of lost that today, COYS
Just saw the Chris Basham injury. Utterly horrendous (complete freak accident).
Wishing him all the best for a complete recovery.
Huge result for Man U.

Guimares should be off.
It's only the fact he committed two defo yellows in about 10 minutes that the ref took pity on him.
Emerson gesturing for a yellow card after being fouled and so gets one himself.
Almiron does the self same thing and gets let off.
Cheers,
Neil.
Entertaining match between Brighton and Liverpool.
Looking at the Arsenal vs City team sheets - feels a bit like an EFL Cup match!
Agree fair result for both teams all things considered.
Be interesting to see how Arsenal cope without Saka.

Baffling.

Even as a City fan, we’re lucky to have 11 on the pitch.
Raya doing his best to emulate Onana that half.

How poor has the game been in complete fairness, not what we were expecting with two good football playing sides?

Oh dear
There will be a treble winning celebration from Arteta no doubt.

Terrible game, been bored watching it.

I wonder if Pep has ever lost 3 in 4 games?
Right result IMHO as City should have been a man down since the 15th or 30th minute
Losing to Newcastle didn’t count because you are oil backed mercenaries.
Losing to Wolves didn’t count because we are waiting for the game to be replayed .
I’m just waiting on confirmation that we didn’t lose to Arsenal but the tin foil hat must be messing with the signal
Happy we won, but what a poor standard of football! City looked terrible, both teams missing key players. Happy to see Martenelli and Partey back playing. Not quite sure why he played Jesus right wing, and Eddie up top, just drop Eddie and play Jesus up front and ESR on the right.
Only watched on TV but home support for Arsenal seemed totally flat. Players imploring the crowd to make some noise, yet very little until the goal went in, so glad I support a team that knows how to get behind their team through thick and thin (mainly thin!)
Um I was there, North Bank as usual was bouncing. There were a few grumbles given the arse puckering play from the back, not exactly a high octane match on the pitch and wasn't much coming from the away to add to the usual banter. If you watch match of the day the commentator mention players "rousing the crowd" and said was strange given how much we'd already been giving. So glad you support someone else too
Kai is due to Arteta being stupid, ESR is a great squad player and deserves more game time. He was so good a few seasons ago then got injured and has not been given a chance since.
Partey and Rice should be our first choice CM, so again why spend so much money on Kai for a squad player when we have decent people already, ESR, Elneny, Trossard, all can do a decent job filling in.
Kai was a proven failure at Chelsea.
Eddie N must have some dirt on Arteta to even justify him being in the squad yet alone starting all the time!, 13 goals in the last 76 matches - speaks for itself. We should have kept Balogun, he scored well last season and has started this season well for Monaco.
Interesting - you clearly have the advantage of having been there, but watching the entire game live on Sky there were countless references to the atmosphere being flat, close ups of the fans failing to get engaged, players trying to get a reaction etc and virtually no discernible noise. You could clearly hear the difference after the goal went in, just like you heard us when Mick Quinn banged his hat-trick in on the opening game of the season many decades ago
For a top of the league match there did seem to be alot of "tourists" but North Bank and Clock end lowers were at it for the entire match, but naturally will drag more in if we are leading. Tense yes, flat no, but an end to end will always be louder. I only heard the Citeh fans twice but I presume they were confused by the orange thing in the sky and why Haaland was stuck in Salibas pocket
Coventry fan? I work with the other one. Quinn must be happy his moustache is back in fashion... we somehow managed to recover and console ourselves with the Cup Winners Cup that year... Reflecting on Highbury we moved into our new stadium and it has driven us on with a budget to win great things...ah right...carry on
