Nice.
I have one - the less complex 4-clinder 2 1/2 4 cylinder engine - advertised by a Club member in "my" magazine for £49995.

Phwaaa. That's pure class.
Stunning. Lovely car.
What type of gearbox does it have, a pre-selector?
Yes, the quadrant change lever on the steering column is the giveaway.
A weird driving experience, but once you are used to it a delight to use.
You select the gear you think you want to be in next! Then, when the time comes, a quick dab on what in normal useage would be the clutch pedal, and hey! presto you are in it.
The clutch is centrifugal, so engine revs play a part in the change mechanism.
I thought it must be, years ago I drove a couple of Lanchesters (which all seemed to have pre-selector boxes) and it is certainly an unusual way of driving.
I'd love something like that, sadly a lack of space, mechanical skill and checks price.... cash means I'm stuck with collecting watches.
