Thought the Pretenders were good, especially with Johnny Marr, and Rick Astley with the Blossoms. Lewis Capaldi struggled and not see much else today.
Tell you what, if anyone is there and enjoying axel n slash right now, then good on ya
Very jealous
It’s perfect on tv, live must be sublime

I honestly thought big Macca was going to come out then….

Didn’t find Rick as good as the hype.
Am again annoyed at people on shoulders, worse those facing backwards to the crowd like they are the one getting cheered at.
I remember it without flags.
Looking forward to GnR i think. Live in Paris early 90s was my introduction and nothing has come close since. Aside from the out of tune base - was it Duff back then ?!
Thought Artic Monkeys were poor. A case of the lead singer getting ideas above his station. Thought his vocal performance was poor.
Chrissie Hyde still has an excellent voice, shame about Debbie Harry but I guess someone in their late 70’s is never going to be great.
If anyone wants a recommendation - I just watched Raye on catch-up.
Wow. Just wow!
Is it just me struggling to hear Axel’s vocal?
And is it just me but what's up with Axl's voice?
Maybe we are expecting too much from these people who are now, maybe, getting on a bit. Yes, I know I moaned about Paul McCartney last year.
Not seen Debbie Harry yet but saw Blondie in Glasgow about 25 years ago. I'm sure she was in her 50s then but had amazing stage presence.
Axl warming to the task now
Live & let die amazing
Slash knocking it out the park
Is Slash sporting an AP
Or maybe a Hublot
But the main question has to be what watch is Slash wearing?
This is the worst Glasto headline performance I can recall. Rose is a disaster. Can barely sing, prancing around with the most absurd facial expressions and gestures that are an utter embarrassment. Granted, he’s 61, but FFS, know your limitations and respect your historical successes. Absolute garbage.
Yeah a good set from Guns and Roses

He cant decide what to wear either!! He has had about 5 different T Shirts on so far.
RIAC
And 5 different faces

My wife asked me why Jerry Springer is their lead singer. I rest my case. Some things are best left in the past. Sadly, Axl’s singing voice is one of them.
Iron Maiden/Bruce Dickinson next year?
I have to state I was an Iron Maiden fan prior to Bruce Dickinson.
Sorry a poor rendition of Sweet Child of Mine
Forget the vocals
It's the event
They're aging rockers. Enjoy.
G n R the mix was all wrong that was why you couldnt hear Axl, to many weak songs.
Was the drummer wearing a Joe Strummer tee shirt?
Lots of poser who want to be seen rather than for the music.
The flags are just a nuisance especially for the 90% who have to watch it from what looks like a mile away.
It doesnt appeal to me at all,Rock n Roll should be in a dirty, dark venue,up close and personal.
Yes I am a grumpy get.
The last lot make a few mistakes
They didn't die young, they got big waists
We got let down at the back of Earls Court
We swore that night, we'd never get caught
'Cause we were smarter than they were, they were
We started out with guitars and hate
With our rooms in the clouds, we could hardly wait
Our legs apart, our arms held up high
The stage caught fire the charts blew up
And we play worse than they do, they do
Missed the start of the set
Paradise City to end?
Bad memories lol
G& R version of Knocking on heaven's door sung at my wedding by a mate.
GNR still got it (seen them live a few times). P.S. Interest piqued when I saw Stevens tomorrow, but sadly it's Cat not Steve...
Christine and the Queens, surreal! Always entertaining.
Watched GNR up to Civil War. Surely they have enough hits to fill a whole Glasto set; so far it's been lots of songs that didn't set the crowd on fire (apart from Live N Let Die).
Duff has somehow aged magnificently, Slash still plays really well, and Axl, as described by my non-fan partner, looks like someone's dad running around the stage. The best song so far has been Live 'n' Let Die, and a very close second is the one where Axl was off-stage and Duff sang.
Did it get better?
Enjoyed GnR but yeah Axls voice is shot and bordering on Kermit the frog on some sections - think I read he really buggered it when he did that magnificent stand in for the AC/DC tour where he nailed the vocals. Crazy long sets for his vocal style and age.
A lot of his stage mannerisms still there and takes me back to my youth watching the Illusion Live in Tokyo VHS tapes endlessly.
You do get the impression Slash plays all this stuff in his sleep. Amazing stuff and more than makes up for Axls vocals.
Is it me or is Estranged such a dull song live? A few weird choices.
Always wondered why Matt Sorum never got invited back - guess Axl really dislikes him.
On another note the magnificent James Dean Bradfield was on great form
