Was brought up by my Grandparents, Grandad always called me Knocker which was later changed to Enoch.
My ears stick out. When I was a kid, my dad always called me ear ‘ole. Which became Rol. Which became Roly. Which became Roland. My friends and family still call me this. I much prefer it to my real name.

Whilst at university ('83 to '87) I spent the Winter holidays as a ski instructor in Switzerland with the intention of saving some money. Needless to say I saved nothing but had a bloody great time!

Do you have any idea why they call him Franky Four Fingers?
- No, I have no idea.
- Well, because he makes stupid bets with dangerous people.
Absolutely nothing to do with the above…just love the film.
It's the name I write music under, since 1995 or thereabouts. It kind of describes the music I used to write back then which was very electronic with heavy use of filters and and various oscillators. It's just stuck ever since and I use it for all manner of things.
I started an internet and eBay watch selling hobby 20+ years ago. San Diego = Pacific; watches = Chrono. Not much action these days.
An banter style remark in 95 from a fellow karter. 250 national gearbox karts were my hobby back then and i was indecently fast for my size, combint this with my robust demeaner and i was dubbed FastyBloke, MC are my initials and i combined these to make my first ever E mail address.
Mines just an old call sign when I did something exiting for a living.

Because I like Goats- actively support a goat sanctuary in Kent.
Fairly recently and rather embarrassingly found out it’s an acronym for “greatest of all time” and also Valentino Rossi’s nickname.

Lived in a caravan at uni so this was what i was called and it stuck.
Not a great idea from a TZ perspective as you can't search for 3-letter terms, so am I hero or villain?
Guess who was a follower of gloomy Mancunian music in the 70s and 80s?
Used to keep pedigree Devon & Cornwall Longwool sheep, but saw the light

When I originally joined I was starting to buy too many, and wanted to get a better understanding of some Omega watches from a few much more experienced members.
It's just a matter of time...
Exposing the explanation behind mine would be a bad idea (and no, it's not the obvious!).
I'm a massive 'Velvet Underground' fan and have always loved this 1969 handbill and the venue name..
Lifelong Tintin fan, even have the tattoo to prove it. Favourite books of my childhood were Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon. Plus fat, bald, bespectacled doctor.
I don't think I would step outside if there was an oxygen shortage though...
I don't remember how or why I chose it, but this is where it's from if you didn't know:
I live in Tokyo, and tokei (時計) is "clock" or "watch", the two characters being "time" + "plan (or measure)"
If you ever lived in Sweden, you know about their determination to call you a nickname that ends with an "e".
I lived in Sweden from 2007 to 2012, and people called me Raffe (combination of first name and family name) - it has been my online name ever since.
After I moved back to Luxembourg, nobody called me Raffe anymore, except online.
Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.
I can’t think why. Oh hang on!!
Not to be confused with any other Jim on here. It has been suggested mind you!
Jim McB
My first name is Noel, it's a nickname I've had since whenever Smashie and Nicey came up with it for Mr Edmonds.
I was clean shaven for many years which just led to people asking about the name. In the end, I grew a beard and I keep it neat just to shut them up :-).
