1908 is stunning.
Seems like my 6yr old niece designed a few models.
1908 is stunning.
I've made a request to reserve the new OP with celebration dial, it screams of a watch that will be in limited production.
Glad to see the AirKing survives… maybe I’ll stand a chance of getting one this year after I had to switch my interest from a Mustard OP when that was discontinued.
Must say though, the Explorer 40 looks interesting.. but I’d imagine unobtainable for a while.
Both yellow gold green dial Daytona and white gold blue dial - gone
Display case back for new Platinum Daytona and 4131 movement nice

We're still defying stuff. The Daytona is an icon "defying time" itself now. I hope people don't miss their trains when it tells them the wrong one.
Yes, no need to tie to our brains and the English language in knots trying to make sense of it, it was a mistake pure and simple, now quietly corrected. Someone must have had a very bad weekend, but amazingly the usual watch sites don’t seem to have picked up on it, possibly because they don’t want to risk their relationship with Rolex. I remain astonished.
Wish they did the rose + blue combo on the sub instead of the skydweller. Would’ve asked for one of those immediately…
So is the Daytone bigger now or same size as before?
Ti YM42 And Exp40 please.
All of the SkyDweller models have the new tag on them. Must be a revision somewhere. Weird to have the exact same dial options in WG on Oysterflex Vs steel on bracelet.
The new PM Daytona options are interesting but the 1908 is pretty expensive. I think the last price 12-18 months ago on a Cellini Time was approx £13k
Good luck! I have to say I like it, it’s fresh and fun, the OP seems to have become the watch where they can be more playful, and Rolex but not too serious is a good combination. I wouldn’t mind the 36 but it hardly seems worth trying.
Their first open case back is certainly news - more to come? And inevitably, the Explorer now comes in a choice of slightly too small and slightly too large.
Just saw that! For the full effect you have to say it in a strong Swiss French accent. I suppose at least ‘an icon defying time’ could have the meaning of not aging, but still… The marketing department seems to be defying English, or possibly reality.

Looks like one of the 2023 off catalogue models
40mm Explorer I, wonder if the 36 will be discontinued or whether the will run along side each other?
Milgauss is gone
A little on the thick side?
I think Hodinkee’s mock GMT yellow gold jubilee with a solid black bezel looks better than the black/grey Rolex chose. The grey looks washed out to me. I’m hoping they release the Everose on jubilee next.
I’m not immediately a fan of the Daytona update either. The dial proportions are reminiscent of the Zenith era, which may not be a bad thing to some, but does little for me.
The white gold/blue dial Daytona has disappeared, which makes my decision to turn one down in December another watch buying regret

That's annoying they are changing the Daytona - because I was 3 years away from a black dial :) ... looks like no black dial unless I'm missing it
is there going to be a queue for that OP with the bubbles on the face? might have been ok 40 years ago but thats why I dont work in marketing. Prob described as 'playful'
Real life pics below. The dial certainly looks bigger. Interested to find out if it really is.
A combination of the smaller markers, thinner sub dial rings and smaller bezel certainly lead to a very different look.
Having got used to the old look this dial looks less cluttered and more spacious and dare I say more sparse. Not sure which I prefer right now.
Been trawling through the Rolex website doing the annual catch up on releases. Has anyone noticed how flakey their website is currently? I'm trying to configure an Explorer and it took me to a holding page full of what looked like Chinese writing.

PS none of which I can afford right now or am important enough to buy
Saw the live pic on monochrome website, my initial disappointment/confusion has reversed almost all the new watches look great from Rolex
The bubbly dial reminds me of those little hand held dexterity games from years back, where you needed to get the little balls into all the divots
Cellini fully discontinued. Shame to see the moonphase disappear.
