Thanks (sorry only just seen your comment). Picked up from SC April this year, head only, on a generic Nato. Purchase through SC was a pleasure, seller was a top man. Exactly as described & couldn't be more pleased with it. I've never been a fan of the OG bracelet for these so left it on the Nato for a while before deciding to get a new Omega rubber strap which I am also more than happy with as I think it suits it very well.

Haven’t owned an Omega for seems like eternity, went through so many Seamasters and PO’s over the years, basically just got bored of them…. Picked this up a few Months back and absolutely love it, yes it’s a bit on the thicker side but I’m used to a bit of ‘heft’ with my watches and this is absolutely spot on for me.

The Omega PO GMT’s are superb, I used to own the Orca steel version you have but recently changed it for this one, Deep Black ceramic and with a divers bezel which I prefer.

I take lousy pictures so here’s one from the web.

    That’s absolutely lovely! I agree the GMT’s are a thing of beauty…

Think I was just getting bored with the usual reincarnations of the Seamaster range, so glad I decided to try the GMT, I must say that I prefer the Orca nickname rather than sodding Oreo… :-)

I never liked the Oreo nickname either for that model, Orca seems far more appropriate for a Black/White Planet Ocean IMHO….

I have not seen the black ceramic version before, that is smart. Not sure of the nicknames. But the watch is nice
(I secretly quite like the Irn Bru PO nickname and watch though)

Mum's Constellation chronometer bought for her by Dad in 1972 when they went to Zurich. It was on the test machinery after a service and kept 3 seconds / day for 10 days. Obviously this is only what I was told, I don't have the means to verify it.

My favourite is still my old Seamaster, over and above my Submariner.

Lovely photo of a great watch. That's a Seamaster design that has aged really well, can totally get why you could prefer it over a Sub.

My Aqua Terra is my go to, although I wear it on a mesh strap now.

  16. #466
This is the watch that has stopped me in my tracks after years of flipping - I have this 2 years now and haven't even bought a single strap for any watch since. Sold most of my unworn collection and am down to just this and my 2010 SMP co-axial for daily wear.

  17. #467
Here’s a third blue one! Haven’t worn it for a while, had forgotten how good it is…

As per a HotUKDeals thread, Finnies have 20% of Omega due to ceasing to be an AD:

Can't see if I'd posted this before but I definitely need to wear it more. Think its either 1972 or 1973 Omega Geneve Dynamic.

I had a LOL at that. Sadly all too often my experience too. Add good light to a good subject and you can't go wrong.

It really is a lovely watch. Even the fact that t's precious metal for a sports timer harks back to another age. A gold Daytona now could be a bit bling, whereas that comes across as very elegant.

Good eye. Yes it is. Still unworn (other than that photo) and stickered.

The only watch I’ve ever purchased for investment. Didn’t really go to plan.

Both lovely things mate. I’d welcome both into the collection.

I'd love a Flightmaster but most dials don't seem to have aged well - seems hard to find one w/o a horrible (IMO) 'tropical' dial.

    I am lucky

Bar a couple marks on the bezel - 15,20 and 40 the dial on mine is almost perfect

Not sure if the helps, here are a few photo's of my 60th anniversary Speedmaster, with other watches for size comparison. I would say it wears like a true 40mm.

Jon Kenney, they have gone up a fair bit from the original RRP and in NOS condition, I think you are onto a winner!

You're right, Steve. Just had a look, and although I don't use C24 as a barometer, they've definitely risen more than I'd assumed. Thank you.

They look lovely. Any opinions on the finish compared to a regular Speedmaster?
