I have one of these as my spare phone , really happy with it

Looking for a new phone as my Samsung A52 is grinding to a halt. Preferably 256gb.
I'll be buying it as opposed to contract so £300/£400 range.
All suggestions/experiences greatly appreciated

^^^^^ this, best one out there for the money.
I have one and it's excellent.
Samsung S21. Got mine from a refurbisher, absolutely perfect.
Currys are clearing their Pixel 6 stock(not the 6a) for £299 (code PIXEL100)
Thanks all. Pixel 6a looks just the job

Good suggestions so far with the Pixel 6A, would also have a look at the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G and Nothing Phone 1.
Amazon have a black Friday deal on the Nord 2T with the 8GB/128GB version for £259 and the 12GB/256GB version at £358.
Can I ask where you got your refurbished S21 please and did you get the original box with it?

Wait for this.
Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.
I've been using Moto G phones for the last 8-9 years with Giffgaff. They keep creeping up in price but for the money they are amazing.
My current is a G7 plus I've had since 2019 and it's still going strong and plenty fast enough with a storage card formatted as part of the internal memory.
I have had two Motos but I have to say that I found the last one rather disappointing, both in processing speed as well as battery.
Bought a MIUI Poco last year and have to say that it is amazing. Super long battery time with all the functionality. Frequent updates to the operating system and UI. Just perfect.

Nokia. My partner's Nokia 6.1 is still going strong at about 4 years old. I have a 7.2 which is three years and running fine. They were both very cheap, sub 200 in each case. I would say that the 'new' version of Nokia seems to make decent quality based on my experience. I might replace one or other handset in the nearish future and would be happy to stick with them, although could be tempted for the Google Pixel.
Currently using a OnePlus Nord and like it.

Regardless of platform there is not going to be a better phone for £300 than the pixel 6. It will also be the best camera on any phone below £700.
The camera is insane. The way that it can edit/'shop pictures, removing people, things in the background?
Edit - these are from the camera, except for the edits, and have been resized to 1500 wide, rather than 3000-ish.

Fantastic pictures Walter, that is a top tier flagship camera regardless of cost. I was bullied back into an iPhone by family (screen sharing over facetime, Find My) but I miss my Pixel. Seriously good phones and £300 is nuts.
Check out the Nothing Phone 1, mid range and definitely sensibly priced

The Nothing phone is nice, solidly built, with a good battery life, most phones Id charge daily but I can do a couple of days, last came off charge at 19:00 Saturday night and still on 39%.
However and this is its major drawback for me the camera isnt great, I need to play with the settings to see if I can get it to perform better, but the standard settings are a little lacking.
