For the money, it is a nice fun watch. Bezel action is a bit sloppy but doesn’t matter as much as it is a two way bezel. At least to me.

Any more details on this option for the FXD please? Details seem sketchy on line?

Has just been voted dive watch of the year. Tudor getting some recognition in its own right is refreshing.

Saw that too via Adrian Barker's YouTube, but they did also win GPHG awards in 2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016, 2015... you get the picture. They are a regular winner :-)

My brother has been on the interested list for 2 months now and nothing has materialised. Has the supply run out for this year? Maybe getting ready for Fxd 23?

I have also been on the list since the beginning of September. I was speaking to the AD on Friday, the lady I spoke to said they have had 3 this year. I think it's going to be a long wait - when I made the EoI I was told that it'd be a matter of a few weeks...

These have remained very very slow to get to dealers, made in low numbers it seems.

It seems a niche watch that they likely expected a very niche audience for, hence lower production numbers than some of their more mainstream watches. I was thinking that they'd manufacture for just a few years then retire the watch. But then reflected that the LHD, which is numbered, has been out for 6 years now. So maybe the FXD will become a shop-window-available watch sometime during 2023 once the fuss has died down and people's attention shifts to whichever new Black Bay or Pelagos variant is then available.

I did hear though that the FXD is often collected by people on the waitlist, whereas the BB Pro and even the Pelagos 39 are sometimes declined on the AD call or after viewing it. A non-WIS friend seems to have the Tudor bug and bought the Pro, FXD and 39 all without issue. The 39 was available as seemingly the people in front of him on the call-queue declined the opportunity to buy it. The Pro was bought from the window display.

I have expressed my interest with WoS but I don't think that's like being on a list, there's no way I can see of gauging where I am. I was told that it'd be a matter of a "few weeks" - that's looking a bit hollow now...

The Tudor store at Battersea told me mid December that they expected MN23 to not appear until at least Feb 23. Though in reality who knows given the volumes.

At the risk of asking a daft question, how does one determine the number of clicks in the bezel from a photo?

If the bezel is rotated to point between minute markers on the dial/chapter ring, then either it’s a 120 click bezel, or it’s a 60 click bezel out of alignment.

Or a photo taken at an angle making it impossible to judge. Need to see it face on

I get that, but I’ve seen multiple posts over the years in regard to misaligned dials/bezels/whatever where it’s transpired the watch is fine - if the photo is taken just a few degrees off it can make it look as if something is misaligned when it’s actually perfect. This photo shows the watch tilted and it looks like it’s between the minute markers, but that might not be the case. I think it’s called parallax error?

Yes. Very much if the picture isn’t face on it’s hard to be sure. That’s parallax.

I got a MN22 FXD last Weds from Subdial, With the Jan 1st price increase in mind I made an offer on an unworn one they had for sale which they accepted just before the New Year. Very pleased with it so far. Much prefer it on the fabric strap though. It sits nicely on my wrist and I really like the blue and the dial clarity. I've been after one for around 12 months so getting it for what I thought was a decent/acceptable price in the end was good. Not as good as the original prices buy hey ho and all that :-). Got an Erika's Original and a Nick Mankey on order now.

He is well regarded on WUS as a "premium" type strap maker. Mainly active on FB and Insta.

Congrats on the pickup, it's a great piece!

Here is mine on a Nick Mankey.

The great thing about these, apart from the comfort and quality, is that they don't go under the watch head so you retain that nice low case profile when worn. Long wait times though!

I understand the markings to the case back are almost identical (no MN logo) as they are not a Government / Military issued watch, they are bought by the divers from Tudor (at a discounted rate) it does have a different dial though (only 2 lines of text) and the strap is also different.

Maybe a daft question, but how do the Mankey/Erica's straps attach given the fixed bars?

They, more or less, use a hook and loop system so the loop can go through the fixed lugs. See https://erikasoriginals.com/mn-straps/pelagosfxd.php for the EO one. I think hers you request that feature and the Mankey ones work like that anyway.

My AD has said their next Tudor delivery is the end of February. They have no idea if they’ll get an FXD but if they do it’s mine. Time will tell!

Also, not sure if the below has been shared on here before as it’s a few months old and I don’t believe it necessarily but amongst other things they say this year will be the last..

My EO strap arrived today. The slightly less than original Denim colour way but I do like how it echoes the Tudor strap with the addition of the flecks. Bit harder to do up though

Was in a meeting today and missed a call from Beaverbrooks at 2:30.

Called them back but they have skipped me in the queue and I’m back at the top again.

Potential buyer going in Wednesday and if they don’t want it I can go in…

They bypassed you because you were unable to answer the phone?

I was on the verge of ordering a long length OEM strap at the weekend from the AD.

Unfortunately they couldn’t tell me what the actual length of the long strap was and I can’t find the info anywhere. I don’t fancy blowing a stack of cash on one only to find it’s not the right length.

If anyone has one and could take a few measurements, that would be massively helpful. Wondering about overall length of the strap and positioning of the Velcro. Not sure I can justify at £140 though tbh, for some reason I thought they were £90.
