Having given up my motor bikes, I find myself drawn to this type of alternative transport. My wife has had numerous convertibles but nothing as raw and exciting as this.
Being of an age where entry into the drivers seat is no problem but exiting is. I still fancy one. Quality photo.
OK, give it up - I saw the perfect reg this afternoon. Subtle, discrete, and correct. Perfect - no notes.
(And yes - I checked. An '06.)
I’m not saying it’s good

A Hatter could probably sell this for a tidy sum….
post a picture
Not even a good plate.
Saw GA11OP N on an Evoque (IIRC) the other day. I know it’s not spaced correctly but I still thought it was quite good.
I haven’t a definition, just IMO it isn’t.
Presumably it’s supposed to say TOYS (which it doesn’t of course)? Suppose okay if the owner has a chain of toy shops, otherwise just a random word.
As with the misspaced plates we don’t know if this has been messed with either - dodgy screw for example.

I took it as written given the picture isn't entirely clear (lol) - so 70 YS.
I don't see that as an attempt to say a word at all. It's objectively a good plate (length), and presumably will hold meaning to the owner (e.g. initials, DOB). Assumptions of course, but the thing that gets me with the long plates that need to be messed about with to mean something, is they're one run in with the police away from being permanently scuppered (i.e. the letter from DVLA posted above with a final chance before withdrawal notice).
Just my 2 cents of course, options will vary and the only correct answer is that it's all a load of nonsense!
It was done as 70 YS on the back so not sure what the representation was - for me it was TOYS that was the best as the car was a great toy.
For me number plates have always been of interest since I was a little boy - comes from the car games I played with my Dad to pass the journey. Making words, sayings etc. or just working up or down the alphabet with the date letter or perhaps counting up down with the numbers.
That evolved to pointing out interesting combinations be they funny, really expensive, appropriate or clever. Some people don’t even realise their plate is an interesting one but other people try too hard to make theirs something. Since his passing I have missed that interaction so this thread is an outlet for me and that “hobby” I suppose.
I will try and teach my wife that she needs to get better pictures and perhaps use the zoom function :-)
Oh, and here is another appropriate one….
This came through the door today. Lists the top auction prices achieved for plates over the last 6 months.
A few stood out, mainly PAT 3k for over £100k. On the topic of 'Toys' being discussed above, 8 TOY went for over £50k.
1 YUM seems relatively cheap

Followed this driving instructor on Friday.
Stickers on the side of the car showed it was Fab Driving School...
UNTlE, nothing spectacular but not messed with.
Ever since a kid I have liked looking at number plates (back in the 50/60s we dident have game stations/PCs etc) one of my dog walking mates hates them, I asked him why the other day and he said he wanted one a few years ago when he bought a new car but his wife wouldent let him have one so being envious and jealous of people who do own then makes him "hate" them, I imagine there are quite a few others haters who are like him envious/jealous
Crass AF.
Really tasteless.
The plate is pretty poor too.
I would be embarrassed to drive that.
