I now feel a fraud as I have found a couple online 🤦🏻😂
But non in the UK.
Would still appreciate anyones view who knows their onions !
When my Dad died a good few years ago, he left a fair watch collection. Most were useless ! But a couple looked ok.
This JLC was one that I kept and forgot about. I presumed it was knackered.
Long story short .. took it to a watch guy who basically said it needs a new battery … never did I think a JLC chrono would be a quartz !!!!
Anyway , new battery in and it works like a dream !!!
Anyone know about these , and has it any value at all ? I’ve looked online but it seems a rare beast ?
Thanks in advance.

Likely a jlc mecha-quartz - they did a few which turn up with interesting complications (world time, moon phase) cal.640/6xx I think from memory. Notably also seen in IWC Porsche Design titanium watches before they went elsewhere for their movements. Generally supposed to be pretty accurate if not quite HAQ - servicing list price costs can be frightening - IWC would service my reiseuhr but wanted 900ukp for the privilege .. I’d imagine you just get a new movement for that ;-)

I think that movement was developed in 1988, your example has the 631 which is the 630 without moonphase.
They made also the 633 with alarm.
At first produced the gold version, successively the mix steel/gold.
Thanks chaps. Great info. Interesting watch .. can’t believe I had dismissed it as an old wreck ! Works perfect.
I have one. It's lovely and seems pretty indestructible. They used the same movement in a military style IWC. I'd just enjoy it.
Yes. I am. It’s a pleasure to wear. If only it was 36 mm
They also made the movement for IWC and they appeared in a few models with or without an alarm. I have the Titanium GST chrono that I picked up in 2000. Still works great and I wear it often, in fact I wore it today!
I have a few quartz watches. There’s something to be said for just picking up the watch and going without setting the time, date, winding, etc.
