Chaps,
Any recommendations for an affordable 3D CAD laptop, will be using Solidworks or Fusion 36, budget £100-£500.
Cheers

Surely a HP Zbook workstation laptop would be fine for relatively simple 3D part modelling etc?

From: Autodesk for Fusion 360https://knowledge.autodesk.com/suppo...usion-360.html
Recomended specs for complex modeling and processing:
CPU Type 3 GHz or greater, 6 or more cores
Memory 8-GB RAM or greater
Graphics Dedicated GPU with 4 GB or more VRAM, DirectX 11 (Direct3D 11 or greater)
From experience, laptop fans can sound like jet engines, so the more powerful the system the better, as hopefully less stress = less heat = less fans running.
At the moment I'm running SW2012.
I've just bought this for one of our techs.

Over your budget but it will give you an idea of the specs required.
