I got to try the 1226 yesterday, as Goldsmith's in Belfast now has a Panerai section. Plan to return on Monday afternoon for a more leisurely goosey, had the children in tow yesterday which doesn't make for happy watch shopping.
Also tried a couple of 47mm carbotech subs. Each was amazing, but not 15k+ amazing.

Initially a bit ambivalent, which surprised me as I expected to be blown away by it. I liked the OEM green strap much more than I thought I would, but otherwise was a bit meh. That being said, I plan to fly by on Monday afternoon when I am in Belfast (without children in tow) for a closer look, and will wear the 243 for a comparison. Probably take the 213 for the ride.

Always go back to old faithful, this one is first Pam i ever bought. Must have bought and sold this at least 5 times, but its a boomerang! Love it to bits.

The blue on this bezel still amazes me how gorgeous it is. Trying to decide if an Orange Panerai rubber strap will work

Maybe I will give it a go one day, but I don’t think I could buy without trying it on first.
I already feel like the 44mm case has loads of presence and I am not sure my wrists can take any more!
Like many I am sure, I would sell my soul in a heartbeat for a 372 or a 422 in 44mm…
But yeah for the 47mm case, I should try to see if I can try it on somewhere
OK, confession time.
I have a love/hate relationship with this thread.
I love browsing it to check out the Pam`s currently owned on here, but hate it that I do not have a Pam of my own, and I cannot decide which one I want.
Numerous Pam`s have appeared on SC over the past year but when I finally decide on making an offer, it`s gone. You snooze you loose eh?
At the minute I`m veering toward a Sub, probably 47mm, and Titanium case, not polished steel. However I`ve recently seen (Chrono24) a blue dial Sub, BMG Tech (I know not Titanium), and the dial looks simply superb.
Hoping and praying one appears on SC soon whilst the funds still allow.
Anyhow, keep them Sub pics coming,
regards, Daz.
Absolutely loving this 422. Could be the end game in Panerai for me.

I am meant to be cutting back on the collection, but couldn't resist this beauty. Thanks to Nev for releasing it.

A bit of radiomir content to balance with the luminors posted lately
My first posh watch (discounting the Omega Speedmaster Reduced I bought the previous year) was a new 2002 PAM116 - E-series, display back, sausage dial, titanium Luminor Marina. I sold it after several adventures, and have had a few Panerais since then, but nothing's stuck.
Last week this D-series PAM61 came up on the SC, and I had to jump at it. Lovely to have a titanium Pam back on my wrist.
1226 on new strap. It’s the strap where the stitching is lumed, alternate strap for my 1118. I think it looks great with the black/white combo.
I will try and get a lume shot later
