I have to say I really like it!

Don’t know what that Ranger has to do with the Greenland expedition? Strange marketing ploy. Personally I would’ve preferred a new Oyster Prince.
Dial looks massive from that angle.
Like a lot about it though.
Missed opportunity: make it 37mm, thinner bezel, dome acrylic, slimmer lugs. Might be lighting but I’m not sure of the shade of fauxtina also.
Having said that, this is going to be HOT for 3-6 months at least
Very 1016 inspired. Surprising release.
I like that. Been wearing my BB58 since I got it about 2 months ago and fallen back In love with no date 3 handers. The movement in mine is amazing wearing it 24/7 - literally loses a second every 10 days or so, leave it dial up overnight and it’ll gain it back overnight. New Ranger looks a bit OTT on the faux lume but first impressions are very positive.

Ranger in red would have added a little to it.
It's just a matter of time...
Old radium lume was the final nail. Too on the nose. Not for me.
Reminds me of a poorly proportioned microbrand homage that completely misses the mark and turns an elegant original into an unrefined chunk of metal.
Longines seem to be the only brand that does vintage well (most of the time).
39mm is probably too big for this design but we'll see.
It looks like a cheap fake to my eyes I'm sorry to say
I’m liking it more now for sure- but then I likes owning the previous ranger and only sold cos it was too large so this being an improvement was always a yes from me. For non WIS I think it’s a bit of a home run. A no nonsense three hander from a respectable brand for a decent price. Bet it goes on lots of different straps too ….
Pic nicked from
I’m Liking the red on the end of the second hand
That's a better picture, the previous dial looked printed on an ink jet
On the contrary, I believe the market would have disagreed with you. Never hurt the speedy moon watch and the acrylic sells much better than the sapphire for like like watch, the 1016 has a much higher market value than the 14270, so based on objective evidence for like like watches it seems you are wrong. Anyway I don’t really care how much Tudor sells of it, just my opinion and preference.

Thanks for the pictures. It looks interesting.
The idea of buying this is very appealing. Must resist as I know it won’t be a keeper!
It's nice but just like the BB58, I'm pretty sure I will get bored of it pretty quickly.

From Facebook. Apparently the Tudor model it’s based on
My friend was out at a corporate event last night with people who would know. He showed the leaked pics and they confirmed. Ready in stores but can't sell yet.
So effectively Tudor have released something which resembles an Explorer II and now an Explorer in a short space of time?
I am told by my AD that they will have them in for viewing today, but that the first one is effectively not for sale, it is for customers to examine and put their name down for.
I put my name down early yesterday, and am first on their list, but this is not a watch I will buy, so am happy to pass that on to someone else if they want to avoid a queue. I hve no idea when they will get stock to sell.
From the images so far, it’s doing absolutely nothing for me.
Your original there is absolutely perfect, the reissue as I usually find with reissues just seems to be lacking something. Why do so many reissues just feel a bit soulless? Maybe it's just me and I'm getting old and grumpy.
Maybe it will look nicer in real world photos to be fair.
I also think it looks soulless from that picture....looks like a parts-bin model...reminds me of a modern Hamilton. Hoping the official photo makes it look better.
Main problem is when they beef up the dimensions and the watch loses the original elegance. The case proportions look wrong on this one...again, hoping its just a poor photo.
It’s a stunner, though it’s a pic I stole from the internet and not actually mine! Yes I agree looks a bit soulless the new one. For me, might as well do closer to 1-1 reissue like the omega trilogy series or the navitimer reissue from a few years ago, or a full modern interpretation, like as if the model had evolved organically over time. I generally not a fan of half way reissues of vintage and modern design hybrids.
Nice to see it has the t fit clasp. Now let's have that on the 58 please!
On the Tudor site now: https://www.tudorwatch.com/en/watch-family/ranger
Better than the last modern version with the reduced case size and bracelet with end-links. It does however seem to look a bit bland, or cheaper than it is. Almost like a homage with slightly odd lume colour if that makes sense? Wonder if in reality it's the same lume as on the BB Pro.
Ant
No, it looks like standard painted lume in these photos from Ablogtowatch:

The images on the Tudor website show the domed sapphire quite well. But overall it’s still not drawing me in.
Nice size, no date, no polish, decent movement. Decent price.
I like it

I like the fully brushed case, the no rivet bracelet and the adjustable clasp. I think the dial looks too big in that case size though.
To be fair the Ranger has long been a part of Tudors heritage and for me there’s no issue with this release. Quite the opposite - it’s a cracking watch in my opinion and a welcome change to see something without the overly saturated Black Bay DNA.
I agree on the BB Pro though, that’s a straight up Explorer II homage with zero Tudor heritage, I don’t really see the point of it.
I think this new Ranger is a great release - it addresses all the gripes I had with the previous incarnation. Smaller case, straight line text, flush crown, COSC moment, fitted end links. It’s a cracker.
So: like the BB36 or BB41 but 39mm (and this explains the lack of anything between 36 and 41) with the following differences:
-in-house movement
-different dial/handset
-flush crown
-brushed sides
-better clasp
-box sapphire
Why not? That's all worth the difference in price. I'd still prefer it in 36mm, but wouldn't replace my BB.

39mm but the only picture of it on someone is on a woman?
Been invited down to have a look this pm.
Early impressions are , for me, not favourable. The indices are quite blocky, nothing like the original.
Had a play with both versions at the Bristol Tudor boutique (opened today) and Fraser Hart. The non-rivet T link bracelet is excellent, the watch looks oddly modern, but wears very nicely indeed.
