I’m sure I’ve seen a shot somewhere of a production model that has the depth rating instead?

That’s a shame, and has turned an interesting watch into a less interesting watch.

    Any other dial options available?
Yes, the cream dial (Expedition) Traveller. I believe there is also a brown fume dial in the works.

I think it’s much better with the depth reading than the commander wording.

Some quick badly lit and finger print covered shots to give a bit more detail.

Proper photos will be getting shot next week.

I think that sometimes 'candid'-style shots are the best.

I really like the case back medallion. :-)

This beauty arrived to me very quickly; it only took 2 days (I'm in the US). Still having conversations with it on how and when to wear it.

The answer is above on #116. The name of the colour is 'wine'.

Store appeared to be open for just under 4 mins, getting in some dummy runs of the refresh button practice for when the Commander comes on stream (Love the recent pics and the medallion Constellation theme). Congratulations anyone who got in under the wire.

I wasn't buying today so I decided to try and track some timings.

    ( Note that:
    (a) These "sold out" times are just for the current batch made available for sale today. I have no knowledge of full stock levels at Time Factors. :-)
    (b) The times could easily be out by a second or two. I wasn't making a huge effort to be precisely accurate.
    )

Today's batch of Jubilee bracelets sold out by 14:00:46 (guess, 20 bracelets in this batch perhaps)

Today's batch of Smiths Military PRS-29A sold out by 14:02:11

Today's batch of Smiths Navigator PRS-48 Black sold out by 14:02:22

Smiths Military Air Ministry PRS-29AM seemingly did not sell out before the shop closed for sales

The shop closed for sales at 14:04:17

My method was to watch for the 'add to basket' button being greyed out to see when available stock was sold out for an item and to note when the 'add to basket' buttons disappeared entirely to see when the shop closed for sales.

Getting a Navigator today, after 2 prior tries, is the icing on the cake to what has been a very lucky week for me. Received confirmation within a few minutes, so I should be good to go.

This is my first Eddie's via the new "speed dating" process; I've purchased 2 in the past, but quite a few years ago. Can't wait to see this one live and in person.

Not completely sure visually about a 36mm diameter watch, but I know the dial diameter is a little over 30mm, so larger than my Doxa Sub 300's 27mm.

The Doxa's 45mm case size fits my wrist perfectly, and has been one of the most comfortable watches I have ever owned. The Navigator's case is a little over 1mm longer, at just over 46mm, but it has a flatter case back, so should sit down lower, hopefully allowing the lug tips to maintain wrist contact all the way out. Depending on lug curvature, some 48 mm cases fit the flat area on top of my wrist (like Squale's 1521).

Nothing wrong with 36mm in general, I think. I have an Everest Jubilee and an Expedition and they are great at 36mm. I have a large wrist and can comfortably where much larger watches but 36mm is still not too small.

I plan to get a Navigator at 36mm in due course. But I think it is a style of watch that would work well at 38mm too. Would love to see one at that size.

Managed to grab an Air Ministry today. Celebrated by sticking my Expedition on for the first time in many months.

Nothing wrong, just a first for me. Closest I have is a 39mm diameter Sinn 856.

But I was equally unsure about the Doxa's very small dial, with only pictures to go by. My only regret, within a few hours after delivery, was that I had waited so long: a few years earlier and I could have bought one of the limited editions.

The Doxa does have a 42mm diameter case though, plus as a tonneau case it has additional presence beyond the bezel, compared to the Navigator's 36mm.

I've looked at these Navigators and PRS 29's for a number of years now but never jumped in... maybe now, after the Doxa's, I'm ready. From all I have read, it's said to be one of Eddie's best.

I sold the Expedition I had as the lug width of 20mm looked too wide to my eyes, where the Navigator with a lug width of 18mm appears better balanced, all just personal opinion of course.
