Jody on JOMW said the GA-B2100 is fractionally bigger, but the case may still fit.
Anyone found the app to work the Bluetooth?

I can’t stand the Bluetooth app thing - I think I’d go for the non solar version just to avoid it tbh. Here in the uk you can’t beat mb6

The Solar charge was the tipping point for me, the Bluetooth isn't something I imagine using a lot.

I've just sent mine back to Casio for a refund.
I thought maybe this might change my mind about G-Shocks, but it's still a plastic watch and felt cheap on the wrist (the strap was especially disappointing, a nice silicone one would have been more comfortable and probably no less hardwearing).
While I know it's got a couple of backlights, which are reasonably good, the weedy lume was disappointing and I found the buttons hard to find in the dark - I'm sure as a regular wear, you'd become familiar with them.
The LCD display is very small and of limited use, IMO (certainly for me, without glasses).
The abilty to throw it out of 10th storey windows seems a rather niche one and, once again, I just don't do things that are likely to subject a watch to forces or impacts that would probably do me serious harm at the same time.
Ultimately, I'm just not a G-Shock fan - At least I know now.

Yes, I too find the small LCD on the Casioaks to be next to useless.
I am nevertheless something of a G-Shock fan. You might find the square 56xx range to be more practical. Despite needing glasses, I still find these easily readable.
The DW-5600 models (battery, non-radio signal timekeeping) are a very cheap way to try out the square form factor, with a view to moving to the GW-M5610 or similar (solar, radio signal timekeeping) or newer GW-B5600 (newer solar, Bluetooth, etc.).
There are of course a whole load of variations on the DW/GW/GMW/GLX-x56xx square G-Shocks.
I've never liked digital watches - I can get on with Ana-Digi ones, but pure digital holds no interest for me.
I've got a Casio AE-1200, that's as far as I'm prepared to go
I really only considered the Casioak because it's a more traditional watch, but many of the things I disliked about it are equally true of the digital ones without the redeeming features!

^^^ Oh well, fair enough. :-)
When U know, U know. ;)
My post-covid treat to myself, an updated GW-5000. having the new features really improves the watch. Perfect!
In the best WUS fashion, mine says hi

Weirdly the 5000U isn’t sold in the UK - bought mine from Seiya last year

I have seen it on a couple of UK websites, although they are chains with European distribution, including Ormoda from whom I bought, in Antwerp.

Although now sold out and the price has risen since I bought mine.
Subtotal £246.95
Shipping & Handling £0.00
Grand Total (Excl.Tax) £205.79
United Kingdom (standard) (20%)
£41.16
VAT £41.16
Grand Total (Incl.Tax) £246.95
That’s pretty much what mine cost from Seiya last year including the tax sting a few weeks after arrival. The watch took less than 48 hours to arrive after ordering - which I was frankly amazed at!

Great display on this one, easy to read with the large display.
Modded GW-S5600u with grey bezel and combi 2 bracelet. It's still incredibly light.
Always liked the idea of my GD 350 on a nato.I was looking for the end links on tiktox and also looking at my watch and wondering,do I actually need those end links!.
Seems not,I removed the strap and just pushed the nato thru the "wings"......wears ok,looks ok.Works better on a nato without the metal loops on the strap as they are close to the wings.

Looks good but I’m not sure the wings are held on with long enough screws to act as an effective replacement springbar??

A little bit of colour for the summer
My NASA G , after a little delay from the seller my GWM5610NASA22 turned up today, now need to work out the TZ change
An online shop called augustine.la had stock after they sold out on the gshock us and Canada sites and they shipped to the UK so I tried an order and after a bit of concern it did get shipped .
FYI there are a few on the bay that aren't selling for much more than what I paid after import so perhaps worth keeping an eye on there as there have been a couple of UK sellers
My GWG-1000-1A3ER sporting a yellow band after spotting the band finally back in stock
Got a street series king G, ridiculous but I love it...

I don’t usually like posting the same image across multiple threads but I just imported a baby-G 5000u from Japan. It has the same improvements to the module as the u series 5600 square.
Strangely, the negative display on it is much worse in terms of legibility, compared to my previous regular squares
I didn’t know these existed tbh. The display looks a bit squashed compared to the regular models? The standard squares are pretty much the smallest g shocks anyhow, I struggle to imagine anyone ever thought they were or are remotely chunky. But that looks good on you

It’s about 1mm smaller in every dimension than a regular square. It does wear smaller than the picture infers (lens distortion I guess) but I actually prefer it over my regular square which I’m now selling (shameless plug). It’s just a bit more understated, if a blue rubber watch can be described as such.
Very happy to say I just ordered a new M5610u from Argos tonight
It's on offer down to £79.99 and there's a £5 off £45 voucher code floating around if you get the Argos emails
Billy bargain!
My few Gs....I wear the square and GWG 1000 quite a bit,the MT-G & other might have to go.

The new Frogman. £519 and it isn't a Multi-Band 6 module!
