Excellent. I'll collect my commission from Swatch later. ;-)

Are these watches being used as an incredible marketing/promotion product.

Has Swatch ever had so much free publicity?
By limiting supply, deliberately or not, they are getting a lot of customers into their stores.
Whether they make an alternative purchase or not I don’t know, but they must be getting some additional sales?
Keep the rumours going, and staff unsure of what is going on, and people just keep on visiting the store.

I’d like to think that they are attempting to fix the leaking colour problem, and will, when it suits them, release to the mass market via online sales. I suspect that they could easily sell millions of these, probably at £150 profit per watch.

I must admit that it has resulted in me buying two Swatch watches (one from swatch.com, one from a Swatch AD online) that I would definitely not otherwise have bought!

If anyone fancies getting the Mondrian watch then the best place to get it seems to be First Class Watches, https://www.firstclasswatches.co.uk/...oz344-p-87637/, where it is discounted from RRP and you can easily get an additional 10% discount code.

I’ve lost all interest in these now but it hasn’t stopped my son from pining for his first “speedmaster”. I’m more tempted with the other suggestion on this thread of a Buliva chrono for him.

I see today that this is now available at First Class Watches at RRP but you can get the extra 10% off voucher code.

For someone wanting to scratch the Speedmaster itch without paying the price for a real one, I rather like these TV dialed homages by Omologato...

    https://www.omologatowatches.com/panam/pantbl

Keep thinking about grabbing one. Probably a more sensible purchase at 2x the price than a cheap swatch.

I still have yet to buy one of their watches but a friend of mine is a repeat customer, and they seem pretty good at building a relationship with good customers which is nice to see in this day and age.

I have a friend who owns a whole bunch of their watches (albeit not one of the Panamericas) and seems to love them. I don't own one personally but just shared the link as I've been on the fence about picking one up for ages.

I've had three of the Bulovas now. They look like a great idea, but they're just too big to live with. The lug to lug is something ridiculous like 52mm+, which even on my chubby wrists just looks ridiculous. It sticks out both sides.

It also needs a wider strap than the 20mm lugs will allow. I tried a bund on one of them, which made things a little better, but I still sold it.

Having had my Moonswatch for exactly two months now, it's definitely a keeper.

Dubai Mall Swatch had their display out last night but no models to sell. The guy reckons they’ve been getting about 20 per week of random colours.
Having now seen them in the flesh, the Apollo looks like a toy. I’d still consider a moon or mercury at retail price though.

Want a Swatch bioceramic in interesting colours that you can actually buy? These look nice (at 47mm diameter though).

Trying to decide between the Desert and Canyon (I like the red dial but the pink strap, hmm...).

Hmmm, thanks but no thanks. Zero interest in Swatch or Bioceramic.
Omega Swatch OTOH while not exactly Haute Horology is a cool idea and would love one at retail.

I guess being plastic it will be light but still thinking they would sell more at 42mm-44mm as 47mm is probably too much for most i would have thought.

Hardly anything to get excited about or worth keeping a score card of.
Behaving as most people would have expected. Initial hype has died down and more they sell, more come up for resale.

Gone a few weeks back. Once an updated Pelagos on bracelet comes out with T-Clasp I’ll be back in for another but I’ve learned my lesson with domed Tudors for now. Flat sapphire models only now.

Interesting that it states sterile dial as the pics seem to be photoshopped versions of the real deal. I ordered a sterile dial from Aliexpress but got a fully branded fake unfortunately.

Have you got a link to the AliExpress listing?

Things have definitely quietened down on the demand. When I walked past the other day there were only about 10 people in the queue.

Given no one can get in to london this week what with all the strikes, anyone in London will probably be able to pick one up no problem.

This was an unexpected Father’s Day gift and I must admit, I’m positively surprised. It’s a fun watch that I can see myself wearing at the beach etc this summer. Even the strap isn’t too bad.

Trying to decide between the Desert and Canyon (I like the red dial but the pink strap, hmm...).
(Before anyone gets excited, this is a brief review of one of the 'Colors of Nature' watches, not the Moonswatch.)

Well, I've just taken delivery of a Desert. The RRP is £112 but it can be purchased with a discount (down to £87-£90ish) from a couple of UK online Swatch ADs.

For £100ish it's frankly a tad underwhelming. It looks nice enough, the online pics do give an accurate idea of its size and colour, but the build quality is poor. The 'bioceramic' is... err.. plastic. What was I expecting? Well, plastic, and I got plastic. The crystal is super-cheap sounding plastic (could be cheapest of cheap thin acrylic or something else). The silicone strap (which has a pleasant feel) is nevertheless too short. I have to have it at the last hole on my wrist. If my wrist was any bigger then it just wouldn't fit. (Other Swatch watches do fit me fine with at least one hole to spare). The quartz movement has a ghost date position (no date on the dial) but, worse, it doesn't hack! What, a quartz movement that doesn't hack! How cheap do Swatch need to be?

I certainly wasn't expecting a Rolex Oysterquartz but other manufacturers (e.g. Casio) do better, way better, for £100ish. Even Swatch can do better at this price point.

Nice visual design, nice idea, but failed by cheaping out. Verdict: Spend your money elsewhere.

Swatch are saying now that these won’t be available online but in stores only so the madness will continue by the looks

I think the chrono not working was the main one..! Also, some of the caseback text missing or misspelled, battery cover not an actual battery cover and instead the whole caseback removes, colours not being a true match, S missing from under the 'crystal', printing on the strap misaligned and poor...
