This has just been added to the collection. A Sinn 358. It's probably the only watch I would ever need.

It's been a busy few weeks.

A bit chunky but a lovely clear dial and nice vintage Explorer feel.

My personal feeling is that bracelet has been replaced at some point, it looks too different than what was typically found on those models. It does suit it though and I could be wrong there.
    Thanks for info, appreciate it.

Bracelet does match lugs and case, so probably original.

Silly value for money with this one.

    Monocoque titanium case
    300m
    Sapphire
    5 years warranty
All for less than £170 new from a uk dealer with next day delivery!

Don’t like the original strap though hence the marine nationale style

And the seconds hand probably hits all the markers. Well that was the case with mine. The date window is so tiny though. But even at RRP it’s great value.

Just delivered and tried on for the first time, the Patek 5212A weekly calendar on a darker PP strap. Absolutely smitten. Some colourful suede, ostrich, and calf straps already on order!

I would love the smaller 356, possibly acrylic, but agree this is a strong candidate for a one-watch collection. Congrats and enjoy!

I thought there was a 356 in SC. Maybe you’re not looking to buy right now though.

Didn't initially like this piece, though the complications are most useful.

But the clarity of your photo, makes me appreciate it a lot more.

    Congratulations,

    Congratulations,
I had some reservations when I first saw it - especially on the lighter tan strap it came with. Not sure why they chose that particular colour, but it does it no justice. This watch is a strap monster, and it instantly gets upgraded selecting almost any other colour strap over the original. It has taken me by total surprise as to how easily it wears, and I like it for the fact it doesn’t instantly recognise as a Patek.

I had a very similar conversation when I was picking up a strap I had made for my 6119g. Patek can choose some very unflattering straps for their watches, particularly the tan / choc brown ones. If I can get out the office today I’ll be picking up a new strap for my 5524g to replace the standard brown one which isn’t to my tastes.
Great watch, I’ll look forward to seeing some of your other strap choices.

The 6119g and 5524g are both lovely watches. What strap are you thinking for the 5524?

I thought exactly the same so I got my AD to ask Patek to order me the blue strap I saw on the 5172g which works really well imho.

Picked this SD43 up from tommyzzj on sales corner, what an absolute beast weight wise, you know you’re wearing it! That glide lock clasp is next level as well, basically negates the need for adding or removing links

Should on mentioned this in my earlier post!

But how many other manufacturer's write their "7" with the line through it.
First time I have seen that.
I have been writing my sevens that way, since being in the military

Today this arrived, a Kurono Toyko Chronograph 2 White. Love the detail not top sure if I will be keeping, as I feel it looks a little too small on the wrist, even though I believe same size in diameter

Just need to decide on which I keep this as it is was limited to an estimate of 500 where as the Toki had a far larger production.

BTW I have the Toki on a aftermarket £8 bracelet.

I went for a taupe colour, picked it up yesterday and very pleased. It is actually a bit lighter than it looks in this picture.

I ordered a blue Patek strap through my AD back in October and I'm still waiting for it, absolutely mental.

If it’s under 5 minutes a day I’d wear it for a bit and, besides, it’ll probably be in a queue until it gets a slot on somebody’s bench.

Nice. A light coloured strap is good for the summer - I might go for a suede for a casual look

I think the Tan leather strap suits the 5524R but completely agree with you that for the 5524G you need something more complementary (subtle) for the White Gold case, or for Steel of the 5212.

Interested to hear where you get those alternate straps from if not your PP AD. Thanks

Took nine weeks for this to arrive. Very happy with it though, totally changes the whole feel of the watch for me. That taupe does look lovely, is it OEM?

Just a few iPhone snaps from this morning. I’m absolutely falling for this piece - it is so very wearable in more casual and relaxed settings. Favourite parts other than the dial itself are the stepped lugs. Some good articles on this 5212A reference from the usual suspects.

I guess 2/3 years since I first told my AD that I loved the watch at its launch at Baselworld 2019. Mind you, I have a list of models that he has me down for… my ‘reward’ tends to be one per year.
