I had an email from them detailing the watch, I like the look of it & am tempted ..
Dan Henry have added another watch to their catalogue. Called the 1945 Chronograph and available in black or 'evil panda' dials. First impressions are I like the look of it and perhaps an RAF style NATO strap would look well on it.

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Looks good, and I like the cathedral hands. Would be the evil panda for me.
Not sold on the 3 6 9 on the subdials though, feels a little clumsy.
That looks brilliant. I love the busyness of the dial and the older look to it.
Not sure about the central seconds chrono hand - it looks very much like the main minutes hand?
Sorry it looks terrible to me. The numbers in the sub dials looks silly and amateurish.
It is close but no cigar on the design for me.
Oof! I quite like that.
The version with black sub-dials looks quite good, imho.
Although the manufacturers state it's reminiscent of cockpit instruments it perhaps bear more similarities with some WWII era chronographs, including some models that were employed by the RAF, among others.
Br, AP.
It does look good for the money

I really like the look of the 1970 auto diver they do, the 40mm orange version, but 22mm lug width on a 40mm watch is a no-no for me. :-(
F.T.F.A.
They're a re-jig of the Jardur chronograph.

Hmmm, nice enough watch but all this faux-reverence nonsense puts me off. Do I want to “commemorate the Allied victory in WW2” by purchasing a cheap trinket online? It's all a bit Walt-does-Franklin Mint.Created to commemorate the Allied victory in World War II:
the multi-function Dan Henry 1945 WWII Pilot Chronograph
with GMT bezel and sapphire crystal
World War II was a period of swift technological development, as engineers and designers created mechanisms that multiplied our power for timing and calculation as never before. Wristwatches became more accurate, tough, and reliable. Timepieces increasingly found roles as powerful problem solvers in war or peace, transforming the wristwatch into the man's accessory.
Pilot watches of World War II are the holy grail of watch collecting because of the intrinsic beauty of blah blah
And yes, he knows enough about vintage watches that he could have acknowledged the prior design. If you are broadcasting your trinket as an emblem of respect, it is best to show some.
Looks really nice. My only criticism is that when I saw Dan Henry watches in person they looked very Cheap. Some very nice to designs though.

really like those, great dials.i have the 1970 diver and cant fault it.
Yes. And Dan Henry's 1939 Military Chronograph is a lift of the CYMA (and the many others who used the waterproof case patented by Schmitz Frères & Co, ref #189190, with the rights bought by Gallet in 1937) 1930s chrono, e.g.
Although I don't care for the DH 1945 model's clumsy attempt at leveraging un-earned reverence (what next, a Spitfire on the caseback? Oh, wait...) these types of dial are at least interesting and a little more imaginative than most.
I really like this and they’re great value for money, but wish it was a smaller, more in period size of 37/38mm. There again, perhaps the dial design would be too busy in a smaller size.
